I use ACT broadband at Chennai

60mbps at Rs.1456 with VAT.

Limit: 100 gb.

After 100gb consumption speed becomes 512kbps unlimited.

Where do u live in chennai..coz i was also trying to get ACT but found they have very limited coverage

Has anyone used reliance jio fibernet for online gaming? I got it installed at my other home(dont have a ps4 there yet) the speed is around 95 mbs but ping seems high(unless its to their own server : 3 m/s)

They've launched already for the 'public' !! I don't see any website.

What plans are they offering ?

Yeah give us plan details. I heard they were planning to give it for cheap.

"Our goal is to provide world class broadband service to urban centres in India. Though we are for profit organisation, we want to focus on making impact in life of people. As part of our strategy, we will provide 100 mbps broadband speed with no data download cap to all our customers within a year," Spectranet CEO Udit Mehrotra told PTI.

Spectranet has already started a 3-month trial offer with 100 mbps broadband speed in Gurgaon at Rs 1,199 with no download limit.

Goddamn at that plan.

Bloody Hell !!! I'd be happy to get unlimited 6-8 Mbps at even higher prices.

But screw them and their limited coverage.

They havent launched the jio plans commercially.its launched for free till their commercial plans come up/minimum for 3 months free from date of installation

No timeout issue but its high ping that has me worried. Havent checked it with ps3/ps4 yet.

They have their server up for testing on speedtest.com too which is stable at 3 m/s ping. But i need to check ping to foreign servers ..some battlefield and pes ones...

Man those Spectranet people have covered my whole locality with their banners and ads, like literally the whole of Powai is littered with Spectranet ads but they don't offer it at my building but do at the adjacent building I feel so jealous :(

Have you tried asking their customer care whether they can expand to your building as well ?

Ask their cc for connection request: 18001215678.

In society adjacent to mine, there are 4 buildings. Each building has their own separate society. Spectranet is present in 3 of those 4 buildings because 4th building refused for their contract. They have a sucky cable of 1 Mbps for 1099 with 40 GB fup lol.

So check with your society too. The chairman might have f**ked it up.

Can anyone actually post few ip adresses of games like bf4,cod along with average pings in m/s?(considering your games dont lag)

Ill test them tommorrow with reliance jio.

One streange thing i get 8 ms with mtnl connection to google.com and 6 ms to reliance jio server(speedtest)

Whereas with reliance jio fibernet i get 3 m/s to their own server and 36 ms to google.com

I want to match ping results with some international gaming ip addresses if anyone with no lag can post them.

Been using Tikona for last 3 months. Here's some pros and cons for anyone considering Tikona(please don't).

Pros

1.Little Cheaper compared to other ISP's.

2. Speeds are mostly as promised.

3.Post FUP speeds is the same as pre FUP speeds ie 4Mps.Actually post fup speed is supposed to be 512 but luckily for some reason i get 4mbps even after fup.

Cons

1.Frequent connection issues.

2. Multiplayer gaming experience is not so good.Bit laggy.

3.Terrible customer support.

I would rate Tikona as 5/10 only because i am getting 4mbps even after fup.Otherwise it would be 2/10.
