TropicalRajput Posted December 22, 2008 Report Share Posted December 22, 2008 Cables are now being repaired  Updated at 5:31pm on 22 December 2008 A French crew has begun to repair two undersea cables in the Mediterranean that were severed on Friday, disrupting internet and phone communications to Europe, Asia and Africa.  A robot submarine will find the ends of the cables on the seabed and bring them to the surface to be reconnected.  They were cut somewhere between Sicily and Tunisia, probably by an anchor.  Egypt says it has been able to restore most of its communications by rerouting services, but other parts of the Middle East remain badly affected.  Experts have warned that it may be days before the fault is fixed and that the flow-on effect could have serious repercussions for regional economies. What kinda download speeds do you get generally with 512? Â On my current 256 connection I usually max out at 26-27. So is 512 likely to get me around 55 or more? Â I can't tell you about XBOX online , but PC online is good but not great. Â I get 250-300 ping in most European Counter Strike servers.Also 200-300 ping on COD4 and COD5 , this pings are on PC.
