Systematic
Pushy, you may not know this but considering you live in Mumbai that ping is really high, secondly the upload is pretty bad for online gaming....
TechGuitar
^^Does that require setting up of a TATA Indicom phone connection?? Systematic....could you answer my above question please. Here's my current test result. Considering what systematic said....my ping and up-speed is also crap.
Systematic
^^Does that require setting up of a TATA Indicom phone connection?? TATA Communications Ltd. in Mumbai is comprised of two different broadband sectors, these are: - DSL - Cable AFAIK TATA Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd. covers the DSL sector, which requires a phone line and a modem. Secondly, VSNL (their other venture) covers the cable connections, these connections do not require a separate phone line (Ethernet connectivity). Systematic
systematic, i get no lag in Online gaming. also, when i connect PS3 to PSN via. ICS, i get maxed out speed in downloads(PSN Demos and as such) If you don't experience any lag, that's great but ideally people with a similar connection would lag. As far as your download speed is concerned it's perfect I didn't even comment on that. Thanks Systematic....that was some helpful info. Also could you tell me how much are you paying for your current connection?? Well, I upgraded my package online during a scheme, it roughly came out to 1100/- p.m.. My plan is prepaid until May or something like that... I don't think they still have that particular scheme available but they do have some new prepaid prices and plans which you can take a look at here. Joy
Can't tell you much about Mumbai broadband situation ,as I am from Delhi and using MTNL 512kbps Unlimited. But I browse Broadband forums , and know this much don't go for Sify , their service is crap and expect a lot of downtime. Most Mumbaikers use Airtel , BSNL , MTNL as internet for gaming. Check these website for detailed information , you might have to register though. http://www.indiabroadband.net/dsl-broadban...vice-providers/ http://broadbandforum.in/india-broadband/ Joy
