chirag_gupta
MTNL is not good...imoDisconnects a lot....i always used to get a DNS error Though it is fast when you are using with the PC BSNL too has many DNS issues. IMO, you should use OpenDNS to resolve that.

john117
^^ yeah ..sad but true .. to top it Airtel is the great poineer to propose the suggestion to TRAI so tomorrow if it comes as directive from TRAI to rest of ISPs then we all are fuked... First the recession in economy .. now this recession in bandwidth .. boy o boy wat next !!
Systematic
^^ yeah ..sad but true .. to top it Airtel is the great poineer to propose the suggestion to TRAI so tomorrow if it comes as directive from TRAI to rest of ISPs then we all are fuked... Isn't TRAI here to promote growth of the broadband sector, or are they here to help ISPs reduce costs? Edit #1: I just read up on the matter and these limits apply to all ISPs w.e.f. Feb. 7th, seems It's due to a new bill passed by the TRAI after all... Edit #2: The name of the policy: "Fair User Download" .....ironic yes? lastAvenger
So i am assuming this is what it is ? After you cross the limit they basically half your connection speed. Wat a lame shitty idea. Edit - Spoke to Airtel for 512kbps unlimited, they have 40GB limit of "DOWNLOAD" only [ Upload is not counted] and after you cross they put you on 256kbps line i.e half the speed but unlimited download again http://www.hindu.com/2006/10/10/stories/2006101012450400.htm Edited February 12, 2009 by lastAvenger
