Joy
http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/St...roadband+battle “If our private competition reduces tariff, then we will certainly react and have a look at our tariff,” said MTNL director (technical) Kuldeep Singh. “We are always more competitive than our competitors.” Awesome can't wait to switch to 1mbps Unlimited from my current 512kbps Unlimited if price is reduced. Death Stryke
I think the Airtel Turbo 1299 plan is the best VFM plan right now. 10pm-6am is the time I use for downloads. Perfect timing for it to be 1 Mbps. Of course for people who have a PC at home, best plan would be the 1699 freedom plan with 1 mbps ultd. Brilliant pricing on Airtel's part
Javs
seriously, its high time the internet speeds evolved in this country. the problem i feel is that these ISP's are capable of providing higher speeds but they are milking us customers to make maximum profits. thats what i feel i'm not sure if that it is perhaps some1 might know better... i'm glad airtel has taken the first step to start this price war. i sent an email to mtnl asking them if there were any new plans coming and they nicely gave me the link to their tariff page.... which i could look anytime myself. i saw some1 with this speed in bahrain, i never seen such high speed ever on a speedtest http://www.speedtest.net/result/497573675.png Edited July 29, 2009 by Javs

Shantz
^^ dont read too much into it.. Pings are dependent on distance..If you see ppl having 14-20 ms pings from mumbai server, they are probably living in mumbai...

TRMNTR
Like I said...shitty pings... :'( I think your connection is fine. If you check the distance, it says ~850 Km. It's just that your ISP server is located elsewhere. 74ms Ping on a ~850 Km distance is pretty good! Yours is pretty good IMO.
