Same but I expect Saha to come in for Vihari instead of Mayank.

He should do the keeping instead of pant.

I think Saini should play.
Gabba wicket will suit his bowling even more.
Pace and bounce.

Will be unfair to discard him after just 1 test.

He did not look that great in this match, let's get fresh legs in as next match begins in just 3 days.

I am a firm believer of not changing winning combination unless player is woefully out of form or injured.

So, I will keep Saini and rest of the squad I agree. Won't play Saha instead of Mayank like others suggested. Mayank is ions better batsman and as for keeping Pant will manage. We have to give him some leeway for few series otherwise he will never improve. Remember MSD didn't became MSD in a day.. he was quite raw when he came.

I hope lot of people in media will shut up about Pujara.
Slow or fast. Atleast he scores runs.
Its better to get 2 half centuries batting slow, than getting out for 5-10 runs...

With all that less intent, he ended up being the 2nd highest run getter for us this match.

Remember we were consistently getting Aus out for around 200, this time they scored better as third bowler (Saini) could not sustain the pressure, so let's try some one else, series is on the line.

Pujara was the series winner for us last time, only idiots will have doubts on his abilitIes.

Test matches aren't won by making runs, test matches are won by taking 20 wickets.

Batsman has to ensure that he holds on to the wicket, exactly what Virari & Aswin did today.

What an awesome draw. If Pant would have lasted for 10 more overs, who knows, we might have even won. Pant is so much better in tests than T20/ODI. Who would have thought lol.

If Pant's injury is healed completely then no need to bring in Saha. Mayank is good replacement for Vihari.

Natarajan for Jadeja. That's it.

Scoring runs is important. However, in matches like these where overall score was largely low in all the innings, one can get away by scoring really slow. Run rate does come to play in situations where you might end up drawing the match by slowing slow instead of winning.

Of course it doesn't mean that 5 specialist batsmen can each make 100balls 20 runs and team will win. No, most likely it won't.

I was highlighting the basic premise of Test match that is win comes by taking 20wickets. Batsmen have bigger responsibility of wearing out the ball, tiring the bowlers,

Test doesn't get decided by 30 ball 50 blitzkrieg done in half a session.

I think losing virat has a lot to do with this. He would usually come at 4 and keep the scoreboard going. Rahane despite his centruy last match doesn't give me any confidence for some reason. He's become ultra defensive in the last 2-3 years & has gone from being a genuine attacking stroke player to a Pujara lite.
