AtheK
Mandatory ball change after 35, right? Kumar should bag a couple more. It was Dhoni who started the anti-drs...BCCI joined in for some dumb reason they only know. This guy Jamshed nicked that to sehwag, if DRS was in play they would have clearly got him on hotspot. They have been using two balls for quite sometime now... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

TAZ
i would say yuvraj dropped the catch and the match.. But still 2 more matches to go, we will win them both
meaNmachine
I think 20-30 runs more and we would have won this match. Still good match. Great performance by Dhoni and BK

Sufyan
ODI's are an outdated format. They should get rid of it completely after the next WC.Today's game was a plodding bore except for Dhoni's inning at the end.
Big Boss
Good pitches (flat pitches ) can fix that. Or if our useless batsmen can show some application on such pitches. Sharma should be dropped. Whoever is dropping Rahane just because he is an opener is complete idiot. Just make him play instead of Sharma. That guy is talented enough to play at any position. Or pick a bowler instead.
Right
^ lol....And on other page you were arguing with me about Sharma, that he is in good form and sh*t. He is not a wicket-taker just like Ashwin, so day like today when only taking 10 wickets win you the match, they are useless. Bowling a good spell or being frugal count for sh*t. But this game, test in mumbai and T20 in Bangalore has exposed indian batsmen's technique on pitches which assist bowlers. So ya, eyeopeners for those who have been advocating dustbowls. Spacescreamer
PS: Ishant Sharma must be forced to take a haircut or at least tie up his hair in a pony tail while bowling. On one occasion around the 15th over today, he was blinded momentarily when the hair came over his eyes. Rather than going for a catch, Sharma ji covered his head with his hands to protect himself! How's that for commitment? http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Addictions/entry/how_team_india_gave_pakistan_a_great_new_year_s_gift Good article. piper
As the commentators pointed out, in today's game the top two ODI wicket takers for India were Yuvraj and Sehwag. That says a lot about the inexperience of our bowling lineup.

He's telling drop Sharma and get Rahane in.. So he's referring to Rohit and not Ishanth.. @ ambar Actually this season for Mumbai Rahane is not playing as a opener..He's playing at no3.. Also playing him will not unsettle the batting line up..We can go with the WC line up.. Sachin is replaced by Rahane , rest all same.. Gauti at 3 , Kohli @ 4 and Yuvi at 5... Also 2day we misread the pitch completely..The batsmen should have played out the new ball without giving away wickets... Plus there was more help for pakistani than us.. Bad Decisions , Drop Catches , Getting out on no ball..Well we were destined to lose the match..

Makes perfect sense. Just get Rahane in. Today his technique would have helped. Also 2day we misread the pitch completely..The batsmen should have played out the new ball without giving away wickets...Plus there was more help for pakistani than us.. Yes, Misbah was very frank in presentation. He said winning the toss was great and pitch eased up later on while they were batting. Pak knew the target and hence they saw the new ball off. That guy Azhar Ali made 9 from 38 but he ate up 38 new ball deliveries, thus negating the danger. After Gambhir's wicket, Kohli etc should have altered their batting manner. They still pushed at the ball. Very disappointed with Kohli's wicket. And Yuvi was hopless. Playing across the line? And Sharma still played with hard hands. FFS just get Rahane in. Stupid Sehwag also gave his wicket away. He was almost too willing to go after he was bowled. He just didn't want to stay there. He was like f**k THIS, I am outta here. Very bad. And Gambhir is scared of that 7 feet giant. Two short balls and one pitched up and bowled. Idiot. BTW B Kumar bowled at good speeds today. Many 135 km+ balls. Way faster than PK. He must continue doing that. We might have found a good bowler. Edited December 30, 2012 by The_Rock
silentassassin
Yea..Sehwag din even wait for a second , As soon as the ball hit the stumps , he walked away.. As if like " phew i'm out , now i can go relax.. " Rahane played really well in 2 T20's , specially in 1st T20.. I dont see the reason behind playing Rohit Sharma , i dont even remember the last time he scored decent amount of runs , how he's getting so many opportunities just blows me away.. Except 5th bowler , bowling was decent.. Dhoni should'nt use BK at death overs.. I hope they dont screw BK like other fast bowlers..

BCCI has finally woken up to sporting pitch (WC 2015 bhi toh dekhna hai bhai.. galla khaali rahega toh biwiyo ki shopping kaise hogi yaar.. logical no ?) And now we have the IPL gen 'batsman'. How do you expect them to bat properly ?? Yuvi.. srlsy.. cudnt you rem how you got out against pak in the SF @ Mohali..? Rohit seems to be wasted already. Kohli needed like 96 runs to be the top scorer in all formats again.. and boy what an effort..! We were 40 runs short. And 5 batsman failed. 8 runs more apiece and we could have done a bit better. Rank idiots. Part time bowling did us in the field when we bowled. Fielding.. wow man.. way to go yuv, bhuvaneshwar, ashwin, koh.. oh forget it.. Fitness level was hardly anything and now we caught em napping in a game where they shd have gone all out against pak. So he's referring to Rohit and not Ishanth.. Dude! Yup Rahane was excellent. And especially in the 1st match when ball was doing a bit. See Sharma is there because of Dhoni and team management. They have identified a set of players who they think are good and are India's future. Like Jadeja, Rahane, Sharma, Tiwary, Chawla etc. Some choices may be wrong some may be right, but that is what they think is correct set of players. So they are giving them enough chances so that the team is well experienced for 2015 WC. Sharma has played 87 matches just because of that. Now they can either drop him completely or continue with him. Problem is, he goes back and smashes centuries and 50s in domestic cricket. So they pick him again. Honestly, he is very talented, and I think this season will either make or break him. But that being said, they are making a huge mistake by sidelining Rahane. He needs to play ahead of Sharma. In Australia tour, Rahane MUST play.

I can understand if the other players are failing and Rohit getting chances.. But thats not the case , there are replacements available , but still he gets to play.. Tiwary played so well in the chances he got , but was always benched and Rohit gotta play.. Same with Rahane now..
Big Boss
Tiwary is very unfortunate. He got injured at a very wrong time. He had a debut chances years back, but he was unfortunate and got injured at that time as well.
silentassassin
Irfan is gonna be fit in a week or two.. Once he's fit , we should play 5 bowlers.. Irfan at 7 , Ashwin at 8 and BK at 9.. Both Ashwin and Irfan are good with the bat.. BK averages 30 in Ranji with the bat...
Right
You know what? send both sharmas out. Get mishra in and hope umesh/pk/irfan to come back. Along with Dinda and kumar, rotate these guys around in the series....but all these 5 should make to 16. Zaheer ko bhul jao. For bats make a pool with gouti, virat, manoj, rehane, raina, yuvraj, and one more youngster, dhoni and naman ojha. Rotate to have 5 bat and 1 wk. Give gloves to ojha when dhoni is rested. And cap to kohli.
