Big Boss
http://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/Numbers-prove-MS-Dhoni-is-one-of-the-best-batsmen-in-the-history-of-One-Day-Internationals/21527 Get mishra in and hope umesh/pk/irfan to come back. Along with Dinda and kumar, rotate these guys around in the series....but all these 5 should make to 16. Zaheer ko bhul jao. Oh yes Mishra and Ashwin should be rotated. That will keep Ashwin in check. He was very unlucky yesterday though. Younus and Jamshed both were out but not given by that stupid Indian umpire. Once Umesh, PK and Irfan are fit, then we have a good pool of fast bowlers. Even Vinay Kumar is decent but injured. make a pool with gouti, virat, manoj, rehane, raina, yuvraj, and one more youngster, dhoni and naman ojha. I like this idea of one more keeper as backup. Currently there is none. For ODIs I think Karthik will be more suitable than Ojha. But team management has decided on Saha as Dhoni successor I guess. The Wolfy among us
I don't understand why Karthik is being overlooked time and again. He's a very capable batsman, more so than the default wicket, Rohit Sharma.
Big Boss
Wow I don't understand why Karthik is being overlooked time and again. He's a very capable batsman, more so than the default wicket, Rohit Sharma. He was given many opportunities in T20 as a stand alone batsman. Didnt really make most of it IIRC. Big Boss
If you compare batting of both Karthik and Sharma in domestic cricket and IPL, Sharma is better in each season 90% of time.
AtheK
Indian umpires when they get chance in intnl matches tend to screw indians over most of the time, guess they go With a mindset lets Show the world we are neutral and oh icc can we be in the elite list..idiots. Also to make it all fair every wicket should be checked for no ball, why pick and choose.

Big Boss
As far as ODIs go, Dhoni is now the best batsman in India, and arguably the best middle-overs man in the world. Today he marched past 7000 ODI runs, while averaging 52.00 per innings. That's seven runs clear of Sachin Tendulkar's average when he got there, and a whole 10 runs more than Ricky Ponting's. And despite restraining himself in the middle overs in recent years, Dhoni has got those runs at a strike-rate of 88.45. Those are the stats of a master. Big Boss
BTW Pujara For the rest, there was the slowness of the Khandheri pitch, its low and at times unpredictable bounce, and the zip in the new ball to tackle. For double-centurion Cheteshwar Pujara, all of that didn't matter. Over five hours of top-class batting, Pujara went from free-flowing to aggressive to downright dismissive, remaining solid all the time. He was like a marathoner accelerating gradually through his first 30km or so and then retaining enough stamina and focus to sprint through the final fourth of the distance as if it were a 100m dash. His first fifty came in in 88 balls, the second in 63, the third in 51, and the final one in just 17. Saurashtra had been 23 for 3 in the morning. Pujara's dominance crushed whatever pressure that scoreline suggested, reducing it to an entry on the card. By lunch, Saurashtra were 128 for 3. By tea, they had bolted to 303 for 4 and declared to set Madhya Pradesh a target of 411 http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-domestic-2012/engine/current/match/574120.html

Chewie
:lol:/> You know what? send both sharmas out. Get mishra in and hope umesh/pk/irfan to come back. Along with Dinda and kumar, rotate these guys around in the series....but all these 5 should make to 16. Zaheer ko bhul jao. both rohit & ishant keep getting chances coz we're told they're "talented/hardworking" etc but its time they started delivering or i feel they should be discarded. ishant atleast has got his chances in tests & really its time we looked past him. the way B kumar grabbed his chance maybe someone else not known will grab his. rohit i feel should be given a chance in tests before he's discarded coz we need someone with good technique (& while odi's is not always a reliable measure) as he did well in Aus in odi's (in '08) Indian umpires when they get chance in intnl matches tend to screw indians over most of the time, guess they go With a mindset lets Show the world we are neutral and oh icc can we be in the elite list..idiots. Also to make it all fair every wicket should be checked for no ball, why pick and choose. its getting ridiculous. & there's no sympathy for them coz they're the ones refusing DRS. they shouldnt forget that if it wasnt for DRS sachin would've been out in WC semi-final & then we'd probably have lost the match & lost out on the WC itself. from what i've read suggestions in some parts of media that sachin is Anti-DRS (though cant be sure abt this). now that he's retiring we should hopefully get it. but then bcci's ego might come in the way. :majesty:/> Haters asking him to quit :chair:/> :slap:/> i dont think anyone's asking him to quit ODI/t20's. it's his test batting/captaincy under fire ^^ Its time to get him into the one day setup. yes. pujara's technique will be vital in 2015 WC & he's not a slow scorer. maybe he can take gambhir's place
Sufyan
its getting ridiculous. & there's no sympathy for them coz they're the ones refusing DRS. THIS.I hope it ends up costing them a game in the Australia series,if only to teach them a lesson. Sachin at the receiving end of the decision would be ideal. Right
No, Sachin was OK with DRS But yeah, the way Dhoni gestured in 1st ODI, he will fall in line soon.
Right
the way B kumar grabbed his chance maybe someone else not known will grab his. rohit i feel should be given a chance in tests before he's discarded coz we need someone with good technique Agree with first part completely. But not with second. Rohit doesnt have talent to play short balls so he will surely fail in tests. And he has been given enough chances in ODIs and T20s, we really really need to move past him.
