Original plan was to have only 10 teams, but the associates protested and want to be a part of WC.So now it's same as WC11. Also the World series baseball is not really equitable with a World cup. World series is just an annual big final type thing with the champions of AL and NL. Two teams, best of seven matches. They have got the name stupidly wrong, sure but idea still is a domestic series, a very exclusive one (2 top teams) at that, and not an international tourney held every four years. The ball swings around in the 1st hour or so and also the pitch assist batting in the 2nd innings.. So its an obvious choice to bowl first...
