KL Rahul is not a keeper lol..

Let him play 1 more season , he looks good..

Also Kedar Jadav is a dasher , i highly doubt him getting picked unless he makes huge impact next season as well..

Parveez Rasool has'nt done anything great o be picked for both ODI n Tests..

We have decent spin attack , the problem overseas is we are depending on spinners to pick wickets..Outside India we need spinners to just hold 1 end up and pace bowlers to do the damage..

Also a coach plays a huge impact on the way the team plays , strategies and style of play comes from both captain and coach..

thats the only way things will change it seems. once the endorsements etc dry up & we fans stop treating these average players like rockstars will they get a kick up their a*s.

actually the whole situation isnt fault of bcci or players but us fans who are happy with mediocrity/home wins/ipl

now even the media seems to have given up. there isnt much uproar or criticism of team despite 2 tours with 0 wins

Yeah, i think Media has totally given up. Although our Media is more like an advertisement breeding ground nowadays it seems. i have never actually seen a NEWS in a long time, even if i accidentally turn a News channel on. its usually adverts.

Yeah thats the only way things will change, fans will stop following cricket, just like now not many people enjoy IPL, Test Matches and even ODIs. the TV ratings have dropped. and IPL franchises are making a loss, well most of them. lets see what happens.

But Cricket has become so synonymous with money. its hard not to turn the other way and lets stop wasting our time.

For me, if there is a good innings now, i will just watch highlights. simple. f**k watching live matches and wasting our full day's time.

Till the time Dhoni is not sacked as a test captain and his favoritism closed we won't win overseas. No point in expecting otherwise. Also sack Fletcher as he has done nothing. Complete failure.

I have lost interest in watching India matches when Dravid retired. Still saw some for Sachin. Now it's like complete boycott.

No one gives a rats a*s for Kohli's century when we lose tours after tours.

Saw highlights of Johnsons bowling in SA. What a bowler! That's commitment and hunger to win which no one on Indian team has.

I don't think so, things like this happen. A clear edge on Virat was not given in the last innings and then he made century. Both got lifeline in a way. I wouldn't blame him, I mean he can't be out for his catching, he only needs to practice more.

Beg to differ.

Like gavaskar always says catches win matches. Dropped Williamson in first test and match slipped. Dropped McCullum in this one and same story. Most importantly both the times they were sitters no one will drop. But ya our players are busy dating movie stars and dreaming about how much money they are getting in ipl so who the f**k cares about practising catching.

Why Ganguly, dravid, Sachin and VVS were greats? Leave batting.

Ganguly a liability in field was always an excellent catcher.

Laxman and Dravid world class in slips. You won't remember Sachin dropping a catch in field or running on one limb in the field.

GOD I miss those guys. That was a time cricket was a pleasure to Watch.

"Appreciate what Brendon and BJ did, soak up the pressure when we were bowling well and score freely once the bowlers tired. Did well to in the series in this Test because we we fought back pretty well ourselves. We bowled the right areas which is important on flat tracks. Won the toss and bowled well in the first innings, Second innings also was a good start. Wasn't bad bowling, but they kept good deliveries out. We had to field for two and two and ha half days and I have to personally appreciate the bowlers. Even when the third new ball was taken, they ran in hard and looked for wickets. Quite disappointed with the ODIs, we were in position to capitalise. The Tests would be tough, there are not many players who have played more than five or six matches. So it was good exposure. Quite a few peole wondered if we could take 20 wickets. Especially with the spinner not getting too many wickets. But we showed that in the first Test and even in the first innings here. We have been improving, the pace at which it is happening we can be a much better side. It's a fantastic country, the atmosphere was very good. The wickets are quite flat, good bounce. Small outfield. Good fun for the fans. They appreciate good cricket, enjoy the opposition's success too. Testing. I love this venue and it was really good to witness Brendon's innings and the way the crowd appreciated his effort, not as an opposition captain but as a fan" - Dhobi

Is he for real?

I am sorry if I sound stupid but I don't regard McCullum triple as great. Our bowling attack is worst in world cricket . We play any team and their best scores come against our bowling. So I won't rate anyone scoring against us as great. Score the same against SA and Oz attack and yes you are great.

In contrast, the SA team were so hard on themselves for just losing a single test match.Clearly their desire and hunger to be the best in the world separates them from the rest of the world.

Is he for real?

his post match answers are very revealing.

this shows that we're going to suffer the same fate in Eng & Oz bcoz he's believes the bowlers did a good job so no need for a change. when really we had equivalent of 1.00 bowlers (chushant - 0.25, zak 0.25, srj - 0.05, shami 0.45). even BD bowlers would've done better.

he says bowlers took 20 wickets. if you take 20 wickets at 1000 runs thats not something to be proud of. :spank:

he says they "ran in hard" ?!! is that all thats needed to be an int'l bowler?? pick anyone off the street & tell them you'll get paid as much as these mofos do & they'll also "run in hard", maybe even harder, & they'll certainly show more intent.

fact is he doesnt care. if he can cash cheques irrespective of the results then why should he? he doesnt even respect the law of our country so whats a game here or there. he knows he'll hit a few hapless bowlers in ipl for 6's & ppl will be gaga

this is why all countries cricket boards die to have india tour them --

  1. the boards get huge revenues
  2. the teams get easy wins, easy series wins & rating points
  3. their batsmen get to make career best highest scores, they can set batting records & improve their average without breaking a sweat
  4. their bowlers get easy wickets & improve their ER & S/R stats & dont have to be out for too long in the field to do so
  5. their debutants get to make an immediate impact which helps build their confidence for the future
  6. their out-of-form players are able to return to form

so really win-win all round for them (only people who have to suffer are indian fans)
