We had this discussion before. I really don't want to discuss about it. besides, its just the prediction. I think both England and India have less chance of making to Semis. We all discussed the problem with India and the problem with England is that it has Test-focused players. Especially cook. I like him as a captain and batsman but he is just too slow for ODIs and a bit more defensive. I think even WI will take them down. And I guess they were ranked 7th or so only above Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. India never did well in NZ for a long time. Iirc we even lost the previous toor of 7 matches with 5-2. Just hope we do well. Plenty of Dynamic batsmen...They always play well in WC's.. My top 4 would be NZ , SL , Ind , SA . Australia may be playing in their home conditions..But they are not so great in limited overs cricket now.. After that I don't know think they played any matches. They might be playing first class all this time, but not sure what they are up to. I don't think they have any other series for next 1-2 months also. Don't see any other experienced batsman other than Tyler, mclm, guptil. and I guess they have 2 young dudes, they were playing nice. Rahane 2. Dhawan 3. Virat 4. M Tiwary 5. Yuvi 6. Raina 7. Dhoni 8. Karn Sharma 9. Bhuvi 10. Shami 11. Yadav (Rest of Squad of 15 : Nohit, Ashwin, SRJ, Chushant) * have gone for 7+4 combo which i think we need. no matter who our bowlers are, they will get hit so a extra proper batsman will help * dhawan as opener coz LH-RH combo at top always helps otherwise bowlers can settle into rhythm easily. hope he works on his technique against spinners/pacers in this time off or else he will deffo fail but we have no option now * nohit is stepney ie he can come in for any of the spots from 1-6 depending on how those players go * we need a player who can potentially make a 100 at 4 which yuvi/raina/raydu arent so have kept tiwary in XI even though i've never seen him bat (missed all odi matches he's played in) but he's performed with well bat or ball in all matches he's played for Ind/Ind A so he gets my vote. i have seen him field as reserve & he's brilliant. plus his leg spin option will be handy. * included yuvi even though i blame him for t20wc loss but no alternate match winner so hoping he'll be back to best * need only 1 full time spinner/spinning all rounder. yuvi & raina & tiwary can give you 10-15 overs between them. ashwin not good enough batsman/fielder in SF & gets hit far too often (has also dropped 13 catches since '12). SRJ no variation with ball so easy to get on top off. thats why going with Karn as 1st choice, SRJ 2nd & Ashwin 3rd * binny type of bowler will get slaughtered in Oz. Even Bhuvi will not be as effective there as he was on this tour as pitches will not suit him (last odi illustrates that). * even though i cant believe i am saying this but chushant may be needed bcoz that hit-the-deck kind of bowler will be most effective there & he's only one we have. hope he sorts his length & no-ball issue in time off * yadav needs to be given confidence. bet you he will do well with kkr coz the captain will give him that.
