Chappel posted a long a*s article about how Dhoni should quit test captaincy. Bunch of articles on cricinfo were written about the same, with loads of statistics and sh*t. And now nothing. I could'nt find a single article on cricinfo about Clarke captaincy or Aussies consecutive defeats.. If we lose in Aus later this year , there'll be tons of articles claiming how we suck so much , how we cant play pace.. How we are flat track bullies and sh*t.. Then Marsh went, but Haddin and Smith still took it to lunch with only 5 down. In the 2nd session they lost 5 wickets in 6 or 7 overs. I think Clarke should be sacked as test captain. 10 defeats in 11 tests is worse than Dhoni's recordWhere are Dhoni haters now? Clarke's rubbish captaincy doesn't make Dhoni's captaincy better. Chewie Posted November 3, 2014 Report Share Posted November 3, 2014 so much talk of "no asif/amir/ajmal/butt/ipl/home games still pak win" on twitter etc, like it's all someone else's fault but their own & like they've won abroad no one follwing sl odi's? this is what i was saying, no point of playing a series against a disinterested side (that started making excuses as soon as the series was announced). it wont tell us much (except that maybe ashwin should not be in odi side anymore & that axar may be a better bet than srj & that chushant is actually improving ). would've been better of going earlier & having nets in aus conditions anways i think squad for tests is being announced tomm.. my side would be vijay kl rahul (dhawan reserve opener) pujara virat rahane dhoni ashwin (as batting all-rounder) karn sharma yadav aaron (if not injured, else shami) chushant bhuvi will be ineffective on those pitches after first spell so really see no point. need a wrist spinner in oz so karn ahead of mishra as he is better bat/fielder. ashwin i'm picking as batsman who can bowl you few overs. dont seem him being super effective but i dont think dhoni will pick 4 seam bowlers & i always feel spinners bowl better in pairs plus he's a better bet than a nohit. If he isn't that committed to Test cricket, he should just quit. The reason generally quoted for him still being the captain is that that is no one else in the team who can be captain. silentassassin Posted November 3, 2014 Report Share Posted November 3, 2014 KL Rahul can be tried...i say give Uthappa a run in the last 2 matches against SL..I know he played ba in Australia..But he has experience and seems to be a fine touch.. In semi finals of duleep trophy he scored a superb 100 on a green track , where all the other batsmen failed.. We should just try him once.. Also BK is easily our best bowler..Not just his skills , his attitude is also very good..No way he should be dropped..His name should be 1st on the team sheet now in tests.. Chewie Posted November 3, 2014 Report Share Posted November 3, 2014 i am the biggest fan of BK & was fuming when he wasnt picked in NZ (which is ideal conditions for him like Eng) but fact is that oz pitches will not suit him at all. we can try him in 1st test or he can replace Ashwin in the squad i picked as a sort of all rounder but i wont have too high hopes from him. hope i'm proved wrong. As far as picking Karn sharma ,I feel he will be easy to play out in the test and feel that Kuldeep Yadav will make a very good pick but they wont as its a top team they are playing against the AUS though they are on a bad run will get good against India which is a known fact...We surely lack variation in Pace department, if nothing is happening then thay just loose the hope very quickly and Dhoni gets defensive which makes things worse for the team which obviously results in the opposition scoring 400+ easily...BK is a very good bowler but is very much over worked by Dhoni by giving many overs in a spell and its like he will become weak very quickly...As far as spinners are concerned Ashwin should take up the senior spin responsibility which he is not able to do at the moment as he is trying to settle on his action, a common one for all the types of matches because he bowls well but doesn't end up taking wickets which is the main reason for the easy 400+ runs scores as when he used to take 4+ wickets early in his careers he was the best in the team and he was the quickest to 50-100 test wickets.. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah but telling in general as we dont know how he might turn out...Regarding Kuldeep yeah you can say he had no answers as its T20 and no one has the idea what to do, but in case of Test its about attacking the stumps and making the batsman work hard on getting the runs which he surely will deliver with Dhoni and other guys encouraging from behind...Another player I would like to add is Raina for the Aus test because he brings the upliftment the team requires when its not working well....And he is also a very handy bowler as well....
