silentassassin
The only reason i want Dada in IPL is because he was a great captain for India... I know he cant score like a uthappa or a yusuf..But still is a very good leader We can stop the discussion now
Man In The Box
i am not talking about dada, i was pointing out the way you are supporting the protest rallys held and sh*t... well your above comment makes my earlier point even more valid... I'm pretty sure even the people in Mumbai would take out a protest march if Sachin was dropped. And dude, you don't even know what he has done for Kolkata and what he is still doing. He means everything for us. So don't give your comments saying that I don't have good brains or I didn't get good education. You are the one who needs to understand the situation. And incase you again did not know, all these are candle marches which was similar to the candle march done during moments of sadness, i.e., the march done when soldiers are killed or was done recently for justice for Arushi. There is no burning of posters or breaking of things. It's just a silent march with candles from Victoria Memorial to Eden Gardens. So stop your lame-a*s comments that I support these rallys because these are not rallys genius. Edited January 21, 2011 by Avishkar
prakhar
With all due respect to Dada,he should go for reality check. He is past his prime. He is good as a mentor, but he wont last for 3 years in IPL. No offense to Kolkatians @avi keep ur temper in control. u r losing it too often. theek hai yaar, dada teri zindagi hai, aur hamari bhi, but u need to be realistic. AtheK
haan yaar avi Ponting and dada are the greatest players ever...ja ab khush ho ja aur jee le apni zindagi Damn another thing that skipped my mind, today is the 4th ODI, if we can win it it would be historic, only Aus and Eng have defeated SA at home. Golden Frag
tough time for MI ..Sachin would be more behind solving disputes of symonds and bhajji rather than captaincy

True that but if some wise-crack starts commenting that Ganguly is getting raped and stuff when actually he is sitting at home and laughing at the situation KKR owners find themselves in, then I just can't help but comment. And yeah if someone says i'm supporting rallys then I have to reply because it's just an ignorant assumption. One should understand what's really going on and what kind of protest is happening before commenting like that. Man In The Box
Well he comes from a business family and yeah I wasn't talking about restaurants, etc. They are only for profit purpose ofcourse. But he has done quite a lot of charities and aids a lot of people but these can't be caught on camera. What I was mostly referring to is that he has inspired so many people in Calcutta to take up cricket seriously and has been perhaps the biggest inspiration for the people over here. I agree that the candle light marches won't last forever and never said so. But they should definitely not be mixed up and mentioned as protest rallys where posters, etc are burnt and there is all sorts of violence. Well I have to agree that he has been a good businessman and has cashed in on his value here. But as you said ... you also respect him as a cricketer and a captain and he has been the best cricketer to come out of Bengal and is indeed inspiring many to take up cricket. well just a question if he has inspired so many people in kolkata to take up cricket, any good talent from WB team that you can name...just a curious question. Well Manoj Tiwari and Wriddhiman Saha are doing well and Abhishek Jhunjhunwala was very good in last year's IPL as you would remember. Hope to see more of Manoj Tiwari in the future ( no, not the Bhojpuri actor )
