The prospect of all three games being scrapped is now more probable than possible. Now as far as tests are concerned I think we do have a nice squad but virats absence will be a vital blow not only to the team composition but captaincy as well, Cos he's probably the best test captain we have currently. Rohit - KL - Pujara - Virat/Mayank - Rahane - Saha/Vihari - Jadeja - Ashwin - Bumrah - Shami - Saini. Why isn't Hardik In the tests squad ???? He should have sat out of the MI team, for play off once he knew he was injured. He underperformed in two matches as well, sometimes it's better to wait for chances. Indian batting did well without him anyway, we won the T20 series, odi we batted well, and the amount runs our bowlers leaked, his presence would have not made a difference to outcome too. Problem is people have short memories, players come players go. I guess that video as you rightly pointed must have ruffled egos, and everyone knows you don't screw with management, no matter how good you are, and what field you are in. Now he sees himself sitting out while the game goes on, with T20I series wrapped up any chance of him getting captaincy for WC next year has now vanished. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The concern with Rohit was, they fear his injury can get worse and become a even bigger issue. He was injured in NZ as well. BCCI should come and clarify everything. Already 1 player and 2 staff members from the SA team tested +ve for COVID so far too risky now. OTOH, in Sydney and Canberra nobody even wore a mask during the last matches... what a stark contrast!
