What a gem of an inning by Jinx

And Jadeja, man I would trade any player for him, such an exciting player yet so underrated.

One of these days the broadcaster should play the Yalgaar song by Carryminati when jaddu gets a 50 or a ton.

The petty jibes at him by one waste of sperm have really brought out the real warrior within.

Kholi hi panauti hai BC

Dunno man, I'm getting negative vibes looking at kohli nowadays, his behaviour on field is atrocious and leadership skills are questionable. Even the vice captain in the team are insecure about their place forget other players. Just look at the way he was taunting & behaving after smashing the 2rs bowlers of WI when they toured india last year.

Yes as a captain he is very immature and brash. That would still be acceptable if he had the wins to show for it. SA mein acting all cocky “Shaam tak khelenge, phat jayegi inki” to going on to lose.
Chiding NZ “India mein aane do inko, phir dekh lenge” to the “ODIs are not relevant”

Coach toh theek hai world famous bewda hai but yeh kaun-sa nasha karta hai god knows. This duo has cost us the CT17 final, the WC last year and countless other matches. Don’t even get me started on the whole “rotation” programme which just appears to have been overdone to the point where not only we could find no real bench strength but also everyone ended up being unsure of their spot.

Rahane or Rohit who has proven mettle when it comes to leadership need to be handed over the reigns.

Kohli has won 33 matches and lost 13 matches out of 56 he has captained since 2014 when dhoni resigned midway Australia tour. His win percentage is 59% which is the highest for any Indian captain till date. Don't know what people are smoking when they ask he shouldn't be test captain. His team selection is often controversial but no one can deny his stats as captain. Also he has the best batting average in the team as a batsman since he was made captain. What else you want more?

Don't compare Kohli the RCB captain with Kohli the test captain.

Also, if Rahane wouldn't have sold Kohli down the river in first match he would have made a big score and our lead would be quite high with a different result probably. People have fickle memory.

Great [emoji817] by Rahane today. Aussies returned the favor of dropping catches. That head drop on last ball will haunt him for the rest of the series. Pant's 29 is gonna go under the radar big time but his little innings managed to break the shackles for us and made the scoring easier by upping the run rate which gave Rahane the confidence to play positively too. Jadeja batted beautifully and I hope he makes a 50+ tomorrow.

A lot of that is stat padding by beating WI away and weaker teams at home.

Can't take away last year's series win in Australia though, that remains the greatest achievement by an Indian cricket team that I've ever seen.

Where I think Kohli fails is he sometimes lets the game drift away and let's an advantage slip after we've done well. There have been far too many matches we've lost due to lower order partnerships after removing the top order cheaply. He also seems to make bizzare bowling changes.

Most of those matches we have won under him were those we were expected to win. We failed in South Africa (2017-18) and England (2018). Should have won that England series, but gave up advantage multiple times. His inability to accept responsibilty after failure is also worrying.

I also wanted to say all those points. But hate ruining a good scotch typing away so much. But definitely agree with everything you said.

Awww I stepped on a raw nerve there.

No one’s denying stats. No one even said anything about RCB. It’s the boorish behaviour that irks some. [emoji3]

No nerve. I am one of the biggest critic of Kohli and Shastri combo and there stupid selection policies. But, the fact remains Dhoni was the worst test captain we had. When he left in 2014 we were at no.7 in ranking. Kohli rebuild the team and gave support to pacers. Transformation of Ishant after 2015, emergence of Shami and Bhuvi along with the rise of Bumrah, credit must be given to Kohli for managing them well. We went on to be no.1 and won the Test maze for 4 years in a row. His white ball captaincy isn't anything great to talk about and like many I would love to try Rohit in that place but in red ball he does really good where Rohit still hasn't cemented his place and Rahane blows hot and cold.

Why do we have an obsession with SENA countries when they don't give a sh*t with how much they lose in subcontinent. How much SA, England, NZ and Australia have won in India? We are literally unbeatable at home. They all pride themselves to be great at home and we keep belittling our achievement by showing only outside wins matter. Only if we can build a good opening pair and solve the late order batting we can win a lot more abroad too.

I feel Rohit could have been a better captain than Kohli In ODI+T20,  But in tests I don't think we have any player who matches him for the captaincy. We should start looking at the captaincy options as Kohli - Rahane - Rohit have only few years of cricket left (Considering 35 years as retirement).

Virat in tests is a beast. The only problem is his team selections.
Other than that, he's aggressive and got a great attitude.
In SENA as well, he has excellent record. In India under Virat we are unbeatable.
Only Aus managed to win a test here few years back, other than that, other teams aren't even putting up a fight.

The way he has developed the pace bowling line up is tremendous.

Wherever we lost in SENA, we have fought and lost. But in India, teams just get blown away.

Same Australian team will lose matches by an innings in Indian.

Exactly my point. We will see how England fares in India next month.

That’s some ROFL logic there. So just because SENA countries fare badly in the subcontinent, we should be content with our own failings when we tour?

Very similar to how Bhakts are proud our economy is better than Pakistan. As if that’s the yardstick :majesty:
