Afridi except for the Indian media part(only to an extent) was completely wrong. Afridi,why the f**k do u feel that Muslims are better than Hindus?The Holy Koran tells that all religions are equal.If u still have some sense left,apologise to Indian people for saying such an irresponsible & stupid statement. Even after seeing these videos on the previous page if someone still has sympathy for Pakistanis,then go f**k yourself. Sometimes the endless magnanimity of Indians is really irritating. The perfidy of these f****rs is nothing new. Since the day Pakistan was born, they've done nothing but to badmouth India (especially Hindus) and trick and betray us. Hell, we should've learned right from the battle of tarain (1192), when the magnanimity of Praithviraj Chauhan was answered with his blinding and killing, that being practical should come above everything and we must've the ability to see through the designs and perfidy of the enemies. All through history we've lost endless wars and territory just cause we are too forgiving, too trusting. The sooner we realize that genuinely India-friendly Pakistani is a breed that almost extinct, the better off we will be. For all the chu**yapa of MMS that a 'stable and prosperous Pakistan is in our interest', its a guarantee that they will come back and bite us in the a** whenever they get a chance. There are just 2 type of people, the good ones and the bad ones. Secondly, move outside the Indian-Pakistani territories and you will see both the communities living peacefully as they know their unity is the only thing holding things together for them. ( as the saying goes, APNI GALLI MAIN KUTTA BHI SHER HOTA HAI ) Sports is meant to bring people and nations together and what we see is the reverse effect. Its Afridi's mouth but not his words. Be it from greed, fear, pressure or whatever. I need not explain what all forces control glamor and sports world. Lets not sprout this stupid hatred feeling, there is some reason God blessed us with two ears. A weak and fragmented pakistan will create more anti govt, terrorist units. Guess where their first foreign attack will be ? Also pakistan is a nuclear state, its in no one's interest to allow that kind of power to go in unstable hands. granted a semi 'democratized' pakistan has not been a rosy friend to us but trust me, a further conflicted pakistan will have huge adverse affects on our India. Also i really dislike this nation profiling that some are doing, one man cannot be judged for speaking for the whole people. India and pakistanies are really the same people, sharing the histories, ethnicity and culture (at lest in north, north indians.. punjab-delhi-up will identify more with pakistanies than they would do with south indians.. strictly culture-upbringing wise speaking), we are just victims of bad politics. Furthermore, building hatred just because of some twisted comments is not realy solving anything. Although i know that Afridi is trying to save his skin back home or maybe he really is idiot eitherway one cannot undermine his comments regarding our media. For once forget about pak media; i truly was DISGUSTED the way our news channels hyped up the match.. cries of war, military music, inflammatory slogans.. utter bullshit. AtheK Posted April 7, 2011 Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 Greedy Set Max IPL 4: SET Max fixes high-definition feed rate at Rs 10 cr NEW DELHI: SET Max, the official channel for the Indian Premiere League (IPL), is demanding Rs 10 crore for a high-definition feed for the tournament's fourth season, two direct to home television service providers said. Senior officials from the two companies, who did not wish to be named, said the broadcaster's demand was too high and it would have to slash its rate. Sun Direct is the only DTH operator that has a deal with SET Max for HD feed as it signed a deal last year. Till Monday evening, none of the other providers of direct to home (DTH) service, an alternative to cable TV, had signed a deal with SET Max for the high-definition feed. High-definition (HD) feeds offer better sound and picture quality when compared to normal feeds. Broadcast in HD is also free of advertisements. As per industry estimates, there are 2-2.5 lakh subscribers of HD feed in the country, of which 1 lakh were added during the just concluded World Cup. IPL's fourth season, which starts on April 8, will have 74 matches played between 10 teams. The Information & Broadcasting ministry has given approval to sports channels to show certain sporting events in HD on the condition that they are free of advertisements. "We are in talks with the broadcaster. But we will sign up for HD feed only if the cost is reasonable. It is not economically viable for the industry to absorb such a huge cost for every sporting event," said Salil Kapoor, COO of India's largest DTH company, Dish TV. He however refused to give details of the negotiations. ESPN Star Sports (ESS) is said to have demanded Rs 10,000 per subscriber from DTH service providers for the HD feed, but had to scale it down to Rs 100-150. DTH players ended up paying 3-5 crore for the World Cup feed. Reliance digital TV is in talks with the broadcaster, its CEO Sanjay Behl said. MSM India, which owns SET MAX, has the official broadcast rights for IPL. Rohit Gupta, president network sales at MSM India said, "We will offer HD feed for IPL. Our distribution team is in talks with DTH companies. The numbers are small but growing." Unlike the World Cup, the IPL matches will not be screened atmultiplexes. IPL's chief executive Sundar Raman said the governing council of IPL has decided not to give the rights to any company to screen IPL4 matches in multiplexes. In 2009, Dar Capital-owned Entertainment and Sports Direct had won the rights to show IPL matches in theatres through digital distribution company UFO Moviez. But after Lalit Modi was removed from the position of IPL commissioner, all deals signed during his tenure came under the scanner.
