As I said earlier there is a great amount of difference between the two in the context of a match. A player can decide to bowl a couple of no balls in spot nixing and it's impact would be almost negligible on the outcome of the match. Whereas, match fixing I.e, what cronje used to do by involving couple of players in the team has a complete impact on the results of the game. IPL is going to be here also with it the doomsday conspiracy theorist, there is nothing a news report like this would do to it Its tough to draw the line between match fixing and spot fixing.If you take the Cronje example,Gibbs was supposed to get out under 20,but he went on to score 70+. Not all the SA player were involved.So how do you differentiate between them and the Pakistan incident.Dishonesty cannot be looked at selectively when you say it would be negligible to outcome of the match.The public memory is short, so you are probably right,it will be forgotten soon. Also the guy who made the sting said that even big players were tested , but they came out clean..
