He is a good player but is nowhere close to Lara or Ponting for the simple fact that of the thousands of matches that he has played, India have won only a handful because of him. Scoring 175 or scoring more than 30 + hundreds or 17K + runs doesn't mean anything if you cannot win the game for your team. A great batsman like Lara/ Ponting or even Jayasurya have single-handedly won the game for their country on several occasions. If Sachin had the capability, he could have won the game. He had Suresh Raina and Jadeja to support him. He could have taken things calmly instead of trying to scoop the ball over short fine leg. i totally disagree with u man what do u expect ..u expect sachin to single handedly win the match ?? its team game bro ..every one has to contribute if everyone else fails and no batsmen is there to support sachin wht do u expect him to do when the wickets are falling at the other end ?? what ur trying to say is sachin should have scored 200+ for india to win the match...he has done his part..he has given his contribution..its the duty of otehrs to follow up as well as far as i know he is the best cricket currently playing and one of the best all time cricketers his record for 17+ runs and 45 hundreds is not a joke the facts tell u something Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

zophar Posted November 7, 2009 Report Share Posted November 7, 2009 i feel the only reason Ravindra Jadeja is being included in the squad is because Dhoni feels he is a useful bowler (which I dont disagree with ) but hes got the IQ of a peanut. He's not a big hitter in the same vein as Yusuf Pathan and definitely a less sound batsman than Dinesh Karthik. And we are totally forgetting RAHUL DRAVID!!
