Just got this game ( Death edition) along with the character booklet , and the bouns disc +the dead space suit code. I like this game a lot and started playing on hard difficulty , Reached the minos boss , got bored of evading his BS again and again :( , will deal with him later.

Reached the anger circle , im really liking this game a lot  . Wonder why the reviews were so harsh :):( , the combat is repetitive but still soo much fun :( ,and every damn cutscene in this game has tits :O which is very nice too :P . Many things are copied straight from GOW but thats certainly not a bad thing. Anyway after seeing the reviews this game got ,and the crappy avp review by game informer i finally realised that reviews cant be trusted anymore :D.

saha.. we agree on something B)

other than return to castle wonfenstine's epicness.

i played for a little while, got scythe and then some more but forgot to save :ack:

combat is a bit sluggish and plain as of now but with more powers it should spice up :bash:

loving the music though, hope it doesnt get repetitive :P

dante ki doll

Played for a couple of hours...

Nemo now has another friend in this thread :(

Seriously, screw the reviews and bad word-of-mouth, this game is awesome! The atmosphere is brilliant and appropriately creepy. It's actually worse than the hell I had imagined when I read The Divine Comedy. The gameplay is good enough to keep me playing without getting bored. Then again, I'm a sucker for all things hack-n-slash (I even loved Conan). Unlike Bioshock 2 I'm actually looking forward to getting back to the game tonight.

On a side note, the Dante action figure I got as a pre-order bonus is f**king sweet! It's by NECA (and very similar to the GeOW figures I have). Pretty cool detail and articulation. Comes with the scythe and a removable cross. I'm really glad I pre-ordered the game.

Destrucoid gave this game a "9" and even i would rate it 9/10 . This game may copy GOW and quite frankly i dont care , its soo lame when ppl keep bringing it up. Its like saying all FPS games copied each other starting from the first DOOM . Anyway i reached the "HERESY" circle and im battling fallen crusaders and right now at

fransesco

. All the reviews this game has recived till now are so misleading. Gamespot was the worst, never buying into their lame a*s reviews again.

The combat is okay enough. It's like pretty much any other hack-n-slash game. I like the game more for it's concept and setting. I was always a huge fan of The Divine Comedy. I end up re-reading it every couple of months. The imagery is stunning. Creepy/scary and somehow alluring at the same time. The devs have done a great job with their interpretation of hell.

You guys are at the start it's great till gluttony then the game gets worse, just beat the game, once you reach Heresy you just want the game to end. It becomes really painful to play at that point. There is absolutely nothing, same enemies keep attacking you, you go through uninspired levels and stupid platforming results in gay deaths.

+

the stupid challenges they put near the end wth are those doing in the main game instead of being optional

:P

The platforming in Bayonetta was so awesome! Crumbling platforms FTW! :P

:)

no offense to anyone but after bayonetta, i think i am up for any cheap platforming attack.

btw the combat in this game is pretty weak, that i agree. I am taking the holy path and read up the avaliable attacks in the menu and they are just multiple bash of a single button. But like tyler, i am liking the game more cause of the atmosphere.

Not a gow killer, not even hilariously close but a solid game on its own.
