KeezNah
ow my liver Capcom’s Kenji Inafune recently discussed titles developed by Clover Studios. Though Clover no longer exists, Capcom would still be able to create more titles for Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand. Inafune, however, has expressed zero interest in creating any new games for Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand, stating that “it’s not very likely or appealing.” “At this time, we have no plans of making sequels to any of those properties. I can’t say we won’t, for certain, but it’s not very likely or appealing. If we had no other properties to depend on for making new games, we might be desperate enough to create sequels to those titles, but that’s not the case. We have a lot of titles that we want to make and other sequels that are waiting to be made. So, there’s no interest at the moment.” On the bright side, Inafune seems more open to creating a sequel to Mega Man 9. “This title has been revived based on our users’ feedback. They indicated that they wanted to see it again, so if we can continue to find ways to involve users and use their feedback to evolve the game, I think we can go on to continue to make MM10, MM11, and so on. The main point is how and if we can continue to incorporate user feedback into the creation of the game.” Oh yay. Another Mega Man. Woo. Go Capcom. Woo. Aftrunner
Eh f**k em. Without Clover they would have botched Okami anyway. Besides Clover have formed thier own independant studio so hopefully they will come with some new fresh ideas. As far as Veiwtifull Joe and God hand I couldnt care less. Edit How did the sales of the Wii Okami version go?
CarbonCore
Lol at another Mega Man . But I don't blame them. With the current generation of gun totting gamers, they'll be hard pressed to release something like Okami or Viewtiful Joe. I've been waiting to hear something about Onimusha from Capcom, but looks like the series is done and dusted
IshmaelIsBack
I was pissed and frustrated with Inafune fro portraying that dumb kid being more powerful than Samanosuke and Jubei , loved the game anyways , Personally I never liked Demon Siege but loved the original or Samurai's Destiny ( Still got my saves and god knows what number of playthrough i went for the three games ) , but Dawn of Dreams was uber and will stay one of the series that I can't forget in my gaming life. P.S. If you could remember the ending of DOD , it ended with a mild Cliffhanger. With Jubei ( the grandaughter of the original ) goes for seeing her Grandfather again , with Munenori still being alive. I still have a glimmer of hope for a true nextgen sequel , Inafune will NOT leave the series imo and if done , oh my jaws shattered..
CarbonCore
I actually liked Onimusha 3 more than other Onimusha games. Loved the time-travel based puzzles and switching between Samanosuke+sword and Jean Reno+whip. Plus the intro to 3 was so OMFG awesome, I remember booting up the game just to see the intro over and over again. And people say this is the best time to be a gamer, what do they know? Aftrunner
Got halfway through on Onimusha 3 on the PC (dont ask) before I lost all the saves to a system crash. Maybe will give it another look. All I remember is a fairy (sounding just as annoying as Navi in Oot) and a bit in the museum.

The first and second games are true masterpieces! Thank you for making me remember them again. Another reason why nothing this gen will come anywhere near the big 2. Jubei Yagyu forever. And speaking of which, the first Genji was a work of art, and you'd expect nothing less from the onimusha graduates that made it. Brilliant. I just said the same in my last post! DS (which was more action-y than the first 2) and DoD weren't bad at all. I played through both of them, but nothing, NOTHING will ever touch the beauty of 1 and Samurai's Destiny. And CC, I STILL boot up all for 4 occasionally for cutscene viewing. Harsahil
ow my liverOh yay. Another Mega Man. Woo. Go Capcom. Woo. i want God hand on next gen. pls pls :cry5: And people say this is the best time to be a gamer, what do they know? very well said sir. the gaming is turning more to casual gamers nowadays and i don't like the idea pretty much. every 3rd game is a shooter and difficulty in games is getting dumbed down and down. i still love the good old PS2 days when we had so many immersive and diverse games to play. now the games r focused more on multiplayer and the single player modes r stripped out(e.g. R2). i don't know why but all the PS3 games r very short in length. i have only played one game on PS3 that is long in duration and that is GTA4.lol. yes it is truth. games like Dawn of Dreams were masterpieces. the story of DoD was so long that the game was on 2 DVD's instead of one. i want games like those back and with next gen graphics. but i know it can't happen because developers exhaust their resources when making the game and the only compromise they can make is the length of the game e.g. Uncharted and Heavenly Sword could have been much longer if they were on PS2 with old gen graphics. IshmaelIsBack
And people say this is the best time to be a gamer, what do they know? ahh , the old days.Demon Siege's visuals were not upto even 1 & 2 cuz that was the first time they rendered everything real-time in total 3D whereas the prequels were exact clones of Biohazrad's work till CV , frame by frame movement with pre-rendered imagery all around with just the characters. But DOD was pure awesome and went on to push the Playstation 2 limits along with some other titles. Oh yes , I remember that was the very period when Ninja Gaiden came out on the Xbox , and everyone was drooling over the CGI it had and the Playstation 2 having this. My most favorite part in the opening is the way Samanosuke gets up there , in the middle and uses the Enryu and the last part where he faces Gargant and transforms into his demonic form , Onimusha.I could just drool over the strands of his hair in that given anytime. @ aman lol! dude , its like the very beginning of the game. What blades did you have for Soki ? DoD was bloody good, but a bit too recent (after the hollywood-isation that was 3), and after Capcom realised they could make money off it. The real art/story is in 1 and 2. Who needs 3D when you can have pre-rendered backgrounds that good (something GoW picked up on). Next gen my unimpressed rear-end.
