In the campaign the flame troopers have high HP (survives even a direct shotgun fire) and so does Sev which allows them to charge at enemies and burn them. But with the low hp in MP games + .5-1 second bullet lag players could easily take down flame troopers, especially if they are using a shotgun or a rifle.
