Sorry I couldn't turn up tonight. Finished all my work (records, studying, driving to get groceries and stuff) even before Saturday was over so that I could get in the GI game (which I thought was at 11.30 only). The agreed deadline for stoppage of play was 12 midnight and I didn't cross that by much even yesterday (I left by 12.15). Instead I found Dictator Visari (aka Dr. Dad) in the hall spewing his rhetoric: : 1. I have an "evil mind" and hence I play at such unearthly times. 2. I'm probably gonna end up killing some people because of this violent game where they do nothing but kill people and splatter blood all around. What sort of game is this??? 3. That I'm self-centered and that I don't give a damn about the people sleeping in the next room. I had the volume so low last night I couldn't even hear voice chats and gunshots and footsteps while playing. Tonight I got myself headphones and got ready but in vain. 4. The PS3 is not meant to be played on a Full HD LCD TV. "Why can't you go play it on the 29 inch TV upstairs" (with a composite input). Only BluRays are meant to be used on the LCD. I have no clue how to argue with such stupid points (especially number 4.). I don't even have a HD monitor to game on upstairs. All I have is my 1440x900 Viewsonic. Didn't even get a chance to switch on the console tonight. Looks like weekend mornings, afternoons and evenings (pre-10.30pm) are the only times I'm gonna be playing consistently. The JACKAL Posted July 18, 2009 Report Share Posted July 18, 2009 @grajasekar i had a frnd....he had a dad just like u'rs.....who was always behind his a*s for no reason... one day he ran away.......guess what...he is missing till this date jk not ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ & ragz...when ever u host the game it lags like sh*t for me specially you & GI games are not fun anymore.... the teams were supposed to be random........now ppl r alwayz changing faction leaving the other team defencless yup ,today i lost like 6 games in a row besides the helghan industries, i got soo pissed once that i simply changed faction , and once again returned to the loosing faction before the game could end for pittance sake in taht coronith crossing map . And i think we should put friendly fire on from now to keep the game clean, then ppl will think twice before spraying with lmg or randomly firing rockets. But yeah, mera dad aur mum dono vaise hi they keep saying.... "You're not a teenager to be playing games" I think I'll put it on the 34 inch TV (Sony Wega, but its still no HD) post 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and play here. What else can I do? Can't decide between that and the monitor though. Edit: BTW fired off an email to my dad's id with links to articles I found on why the output from the PS3 is best on an LCD and crap on composite. I've just gone nuts and planted a bomb in a way. Might have to wait till tomorrow night before it blows in my face. @ank Me? Run Away? No way.... I'm gonna stick to the PS3 and keep bugging him no end till I leave for my PG. Then I'll earn something once I get a job and buy every game console possible and a nice big TV and proper surround speakers and play it loud every time he comes visiting me. Then he'll know! Nice to see everyone played tonight. But how does one know when it lags a lot in a game?? Cos on PC games you notice people skipping visibly from one place to another on screen.
