Would there be a noticeable amount of lag in switching from a 512kbps to a 256kbps one?? As always my Draconian Dad has seen it fit to crack the whip. I'll lose half the speed (down to 256 from 512) at all times except during 11pm-8am (when I'll have 1mbps at my disposal). Hence the question. EDIT: Was planning to get a HK200 or SGD40 PSN Card but I just noticed that the KZ2 Map Bundle Pack isn't available on the Honk Kong or Singapore stores . Well i just changed from 256kbps to 512kbps, and the difference is there to see. I think its not all about ping (only) then....as with 256kbps i used to face bullet lag a lot of times but now with 512kbps, its only sometimes that i face that lag......though some people still lag for me....I constantly face bullet lag with Ragz, Homaga, Karoo (Dnt know why...as have not heard abt u guys lagging much....but when playing against u guys i get 8-9 shots on your body including 2-3 on head and still u guys dont die....but one Goli from you guys and i die........while playin with firangs i dont face any lag at all since i switched to 512kbps)........rest i dont face much lag with anybody else... The above lagfree experience is only after i switched from 256 to 512 kbps 3-4 days back ......before tht i used to face lag sometimes while other times everything went smooth !!! Solitaire Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 ^^ Thank you for answering my query Angy, I thought my post would go unnoticed in all the errr.... action ... that the thread has seen (almost 10 pages overnight LOL) I guess I got no choice in the matter now. For the next 3 months I'm stuck with a connection thats 256kbps during the day and 1mbps from 11pm to 8am. After that probably back to 512kbps (hopefully). Oh well, atleast 11pm onwards it goes to 1mbps. Some consolation. Edit: Won't comment about any of my experiences with lag in GI games even on 512. Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 not again Dude it doesnt mean its ur fault or something (same goes for homaga and karoo), or that your net is faulty or that you are doing it on purpose There are lots n lots of technical locha going around while we r playing kz2 with each other!!! I connect u host, you connect to host, so its 'not totally' dependant on our net connections or ping (having said tht, we all know that the ping results r horrible from india, specially using MTNL, reliance). Some things are outta our hands!! The point is, lag is a part of online play and we just need to live with it, and anyways its just a game, something that is played for fun, so even if our kdr goes to .000001 because one of our friend's is facing lag, still its worth it as atleast we r getting to play with tht friend!!
