Lord Nemesis
I have ordered a Halo 3 Special Edition console at my local Planet M here in Mohali. Will get it in 3~4 days. What about the lot number. If I get a piece from lot 732, will it still be better than getting a XBOX 360 Premium? I guess they still have the HDMI and some redesign to minimize the RROD problem right? I am asking because they have the premium in stock and the guy said that if I want, I can get take the Premium immediately. Also I need some help with the cables/Adapters. I have a Dell 2007WFP 20" LCD and Altec Lansing 5.1 Speakers/Phillips HP805 Headphones. Whats the best way to connect the XBOX to these components. What cables/adapters will I need? The display has HDCP enabled DVI, VGA D-SUB, Composite and S-Video Inputs.

The display has HDCP enabled DVI, VGA D-SUB, Composite and S-Video Inputs. The Halo 3 edition has better cooling than the regular premium consoles. So you should be safe from the RRRoD. As for you monitor, you can use the composite connector which comes bundled with the premium or Halo 3 edition console, or you can buy the VGA cable to hook up your X360 to the monitor. But you should keep in mind that this monitor may not have the ports for audio input, so you may have to route your console's audio separately. From the posts at http://www.IndianVideoGamer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45 I believe you can delete and create the GT 3-4 times and be eligible for 4x1 month free Gold Membership. enjoy I have already created a US GT 2 months back (to participate in the XBox forums), but when i logged in to XBL yesterday with that US GT, it didnt say anywhere that i am eligible for 1 month of free gold membership!!! I think i have to create a new GT!! But how does this works, how do they know that this is not the same person who is creating multiple GTs to exploit the free 1 month of gold membership!!! Anyway, I am enjoying my XBox to its fullest! Downloaded PGR 4 Demo! Have installed TVersity, now i can access my 500 GB external hard drive connected to my PC with all the movies & TV shows & watch it in my 29" TV itself instead of the 17" monitor. The only thing i am waiting for is the native support of Xvid files as stated in the leaked upcoming fall update. Is there anything better than TVersity for streaming videos??? Please dont give me a web link for a review! Give me ur personal opinion if u have used such a software. Thanks!

i_m_possessed
Multiple owners have reported around a 25 degree improvement in temperature. 360 without falcon: 120 F 360 with falcon: 95 F The way to identify the units with the new chip: Lot #0734 (Halo 3) or later (all SKUs) Manufactured on or after 8/24/07(An HDMI Premium manufactured on 8/19 has been reported as 65nm.) Team FDOU (Other teams may be Falcon as well, but none have been reported) The Lot# and Team information is printed on the box. The Manufacturing date is next to the serial#...I believe you can read this information by lifting a little tab. Some people have reported that the new Premium units with Forza II and Ultimate Alliance bundled in are all Falcon units, but make sure the Lot# is correct. Not all Halo Edition 360s and few Elite models have the new chip. It seems that your best chance to get the Falcon is with a Premium or an Arcade (HDMI is now standard on all 360s). http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_...pic_id=26016052
