And yes, always be the decision-maker. Never say "lets go wherever you like", "let's do whatever you want" and sh*t. BTW, girls these days are open to dating geeks. In fact they're really keen on stuff like sci-fi movies, gaming, comic books (thank you Hollywood). Then again this won't apply to all girls. It's a different story that she didn't know about fishes and the poor thing died in less than a week but I had one of the best night of my life. Also, drinking and proposing is bad. It may work on some but majority of women would want their guys to hold their liquor. In fact next time you go out with a bunch of friends (and her, obviously) volunteer to be the designated driver.
