Cash
Well it shouldn't be when you can work hard for the first 20 years of your life and enjoy the rest. Instead people ruin their entire lives by supposedly 'enjoying' their first 20 this way. And I don't see the wisdom in smoking several times a week just cos you 'have to know your customers better'. You can still make good enough beedis without succumbing to the lure of the same. It's all in your mind. When a human being wants to find excuses, avenues for the same will always appear. And you don't need to do something just cos someone else does it. You don't need to always be the "cool kid" of your bunch, you can be the most successful guy and show that same group of 'friends' later in life. Wrong smoking a 4-5 times a week is not to know your customers better but to give out better products to the customer, when you do something perfect it dont leave it in nowhere and 4-5 times a week makes one beedi per day barely and also it can also come to 3-5 and 2-5 depending on the conditions I admire for your dedication and balance you have got regarding studies, your hobbies etc but you can't expect everyone to be like you. If i knew Legend my primary concern would be his health and like Avi said 5-6 cigs a week is definite sign indicating addiction in adult life (5-6acc to him but i have observed that almost all patients under-report the actual numbers by half) along with all the passive smoke he inhales at the factory,i would be really worried about chronic lung diseases at an early age.The rest of his problems i believe is just a transitory phase during adolescence. This maybe true to patients who talk to their doctors with fear but in my case i dont have anything to hide here even if i had i wouldn't have said that i smoke. I agree, but that doesn't mean he should ruin his health. Yeah it's hard to stop once he starts smoking, but the majority of healthy ones don't at this age. It's pretty bad when combined with the other issues he's had / has. That's what I'm saying. i seriously dont think smoking 3,4-5 a Week is injurious to health and i guess i am true.. Also i dont know why people only take smoking as a big deal whereas drinking in the other side is much much more obvious with the teen these days, dont you dare tell me it is any less harmfull it infact is more harmful. Oh really? Nothing personal, but who made you the medical expert? So that's why they have all those "Smoking kills' tags on those cigarette packets? Don't fool yourself into thinking it isn't killing you slowly. 1 cig, 2 cigs, 3 cig, 10 cigs.. whatever. It's not like drinking in moderation. Even drinking occasionally is somewhat alright (and no I don't drink either, so don't thinking I'm supporting drinking in any way), it doesn't turn your liver to mush or anything. But every smoke (by that I mean in the noun sense like 'cigarette') you have destroys a few more alveoli in your lungs. The tar residue from cigs stays right there in your lungs, it's not cleaned out constantly like your liver does. The nicotine on the other hand causes vasoconstriction and makes your heart work a lot harder for a while to pump bloody to all parts of your blood. So your gas exchange is hampered in TWO different ways - both in blood getting to your lungs in the first place, and your alveolar surface area reduces massively over time - once this starts, no one can stop it. And in trying to clean your lungs out, your body makes you cough like hell. Denial is a death wish. You'll say "It can't happen to me" and ten-twenty years down the line you'll think "Why didn't I stop then" when you're feeling breathless thanks to the emphysema that grips your lungs and makes things difficult. I have an uncle (dad's direct brother) who once used to drink and smoke plenty, and he later found it was probably the reason for the cancer that afflicted him. By God's grace he was cured, and he gave up cigarettes and beedis totally, and all he indulges in is the odd drink once every few days. His quality of life is much much better now and he feels better himself. Like Pushy said, why even smoke in the first place. You're a human being, not some animal who can't control his desires. Learn to live like one, and don't do something cos religion tells you to do it or not do it. Use your own will power. Your life, no use any of us advising you when you're set on smoking and other stuff. Have it your way then. Enjoy. First of all i never made myself a medical expert,i said i guess i am true which can be wrong so take it easy. Repped for clear answer on the dangerous parts. Edit - Bold - i have answered that more than enough time and is not willing answer again,Who said i cant control my desires? if i was one of those who cant control his desires then i would be a chain smoker by now. i have it in control and i have it for a reason. i am a orthodox atleast half orthodox muslim and i will do what my religion asks me to do and wont do what it says not to do,its completely my wish.No need to get into the religious part,i follow it for a very good reason which hopefully mostly most the muslims know. Dont find my post offensive in any way if it meant so then i am sorry. Edited January 25, 2011 by The Legend.
Vip3r
Well there actually is a legal age for deciding what choices to make in life. However I have seen people suffer the most because of choices made before that.

outsider
I'm sorry, but your reasoning that you smoke in order to provide better products just doesn't stack up on a number of levels. I'll just point out a couple: 1. You don't need to smoke 4-5 a week in order to know how to 'improve' your product. 2. The very concept that *you* need to smoke in order to improve the product is batsh*t insane. Does that mean that if you were to become a surgeon specialising in performing vasectomies for instance, you'd need to perform one on yourself, in order to 'do it perfectly'? You've made the choice to smoke. It's not one I'd make, and it's something I'd advise against, if you were someone I knew. But, please, review your reasons for your decision/choice. If developing 'better' products is it, there are plenty of ways to go about it, which don't involve you indulging in the habit.
CM Sunny
You are 16 FFS.....and stuff big rant incoming kids these days have become complete western wannabes, seriously I have reached a point where I have stopped considering most of my schoolmates worth my time, I hate this 'yo man, this is called fashion' 98% of my friend bunk their coachings, cheat in test, 30% smoke & drink,85% wander around girls with wagging tounge, not that girls are any better, but don't think that those who don't do all this stuff have it easy I rarely go out(malls/festival), not that I can't, but because I did all this in my 9th grade & got bored soon, my father & I don't get along very much because of this, since he wanted his only boy to 'live life, for the moment' I am literally surrounded by wine(literally) yet I don't drink/smoke/buy crap/buy clothes/demand the latest gadgets, the last cloth I actually bought was 1 & 1/2 years ago, (on ps3,world limit exceeded, can a mod please merge my 2 post?) All these things that you mentioned about yourself are not abnormal.. Some guys grow up fast and you are one of them.. Not going to school I don't recommend.. But make an effort to relate to others. Don't judge them. Some guys love music, some are passionate about sports, some love girls and some just their solitude. There are all kind of people in this world and all these kinds deserve human company and companionship of a someone special.. You do have your limited friends and that's ok. Don't take your parent's comments on your behaviour too seriously because at this age, you will not understand them anyway and chances are neither would they. Just give good outlet to your energy and emotions. Read if you like, paint, learn to play guitar or saxophone.. or go join Martial Arts.. Have fun and enjoy yourself and your school days. Madmage@ Sweet ..so your's is an arranged marriage..Cool. I am sure since you sound so happy and in love with your wife you make a husband like this guy..
