Tarun Bhola
Figure it can't be too crowded on a Monday. Oh, and I got Qutb Minar and Jantar Mantar mixed up - I meant Jantar Mantar. When I was there (admittedly ten years ago) it was deserted on a weekday. I wouldn't say ignore - a quick phone call isn't going to kill you. Clearly the two of them subscribe to the whole Valentines Day jing bang. If you do, then, a call, even if you're in the middle of exams isn't going to kill you. are yaar ye kya qutub minar ke chakkar me pad gaye tum... go for colors factory in Select city walk.. there you can paint mugs n oll stuff ... makes attachment that will be great. n further in DLF place DT cenimas , they people are playing some romantic movies.. mostly english. but one i remember is DDLJ on 14th night i thing around 8 PM.. so go for it.. will be very special.... megzworld
hey ,everyone, i want a suggestion for gift on valentine..? specially if any girl here...??? condition that the gift should be big , or somthing wich won't make any trouble at her home.... except apparels... Great but how old is she?? You guys are in school too? What do you mean by a BIG Gift?? A large teddy bear?? One can compile a collection of her favourite songs.. gift books if she loves reading, make a painting and present or just give a personalised pillow, key chain or Wallet.. Jewellery and Chocolates are other good options.

dylanjosh
Are song compilations still considered romantic? Why? I would hate it if someone gave me that. People have iPods these days, which have their fav songs anyway.

Depending on your budget, go for an experience gift - sky diving or some such.

So he can't throw their money away either on expensive stuff. I'd say get something simple but well thought WELL AHEAD of valentine's day and keep it packed and ready. You know what I usually get for Valentine's day? Well I'll post pics. Gotta search a bit.

Isn't the second guy @ uni, which gives you a bit more flexibility budget wise. As a general rule, I'd say Valentines Day gifts are not the go - it's an arbitrary day which has no real significance to the couple. But that's my view. If the couple in question think it's a big deal, all power to them. If you are going to go with a present, I'd say go with an experience - maybe hire a couple of bicycles and go for a ride or something. Doesn't have to be sky diving (or anything that expensive) per se. In fact, given it's only V-Day I'd personally recommend not going to that kind of expense. Which is why I'm saying get a simple gift and pack it up and give instead of spending a lot of money. I kinda got confused between the 2 people asking btw, that's why I thought you're in school. Yeah, the experience option is the best way to go. Except when you can't cos your folks are watching you (as in my case most of the time). By the way, in the north, don't you people get beaten by some Shiv Sena / RSS nutters or something if you go out for Valentine's Day? Something or the other to that effect is always in the news each time V-Day comes around
