Heart broken ppl's club

I was the same, no coffee/tea, cigs etc etc....5 months ago.

Now I am 'almost' the same, since I've started having liquor....but only to celebrate.

Considering the environment I live in it would be VERY odd for me to not drink atleast occasionally, and I fully understand that somewhere down the road I WILL go on and try a drug or two (or maybe most of them), infact I myself want to give them a try atleast once just for experience (I have a VERY strong will power so I know I won't get addicted).....but I will NEVER NEVER NEVER start to smoke cigs, sheesha, weed or any other drug that you have to inhale, I've resisted for 8 years straight and I plan to do that for the rest of my life !

I dont understand whats the environment gotta do with it , this is where the problem lies IMO. people start doing stuff coz of the peer pressure. I always had ans still have super alcoholic friends and barring a handful most of them take drugs as well, i have lived for more than 18 months in a house full of hardcore drinkers smokers and i still hangout with them, even when we used to go to pubs and clubs they used to get dead drunk and I never took even a sip.

I don't think that it is wrong, people have their own reasons for doing it, but if the environment and the social pressure is one of the reason, then IMO thats wrong.

dont know about the peer pressure mate but my advice would be to stay away from drugs, apart from being immoral its illegal and if you are considering doing it in UK then you will get into shitloads of trouble with the law, esp if you decide to do it in your house. some of the 'delivery guys' also work as informers for the cops over there. be safe

Its not the people, I've been with alcoholics and smokers since I was 13 so I understand the difference between drinking for teh sake of getting drunk and drinking cause sometimes situation may demand it.

My main reason to start drinking was to socialize, and it IS kind of a hindrance if you want to socialize but don't drink....and I am not just talking about clubs but rather other special occasions like formal dinners, events etc. For eg. last saturday we went on a historical walk and pub crawl through Liverpool with our tutors, staff and fellow students who were in the community and I wouldn't have been able to join them if I didn't drink as I'd have miss out on many stuff.

Beside Liverpool is a student city and has hands down the best night life in UK :P

Lol...its very easy to do or buy drugs over here.

Moreover the cops would never go after the customer/consumer cause 'doing drugs' isn't illegal ....however, 'selling drugs' is. Twice have my friends got busted while I was with them but neither of the times did they do anything.

ah ....well to each his own , i have lived a decent time in UK and had a good nightlife if not the best , as well as social life, but never felt the need to drink in order to socialise with people , a few bottles of j20 were my best friend :) , never felt the need to grab a drink just so that i can be accepted in the social group/atmosphere, but considering how casually you made the remark about the intake of drugs, i would still advice you to stay away from it :)

and yes you may be partially right about the drug part, coz a friend of my friend had planted cannabis in two of his houses and both of them were burnt down (thts wht i heard) in june 10, but never heard of any customer getting caught , but then again would you want to take the risk?

Cannabis is literally nothing, I've even seen cops smoking it, they are just as corrupt.

If I want to then I can go and buy it multiple times everyday. My friends buy it almost daily, its just a phone call away and the dealer will come to a place nearby to deliver it....its that easy.

Also I see that you stayed in Coventry, there is a whole world of difference between Coventry and Liverpool. :P

I know about the easiness, as one of my housemate was a delivery boy for a dealer whose house was burnt, yes i know there is a difference between the two cities, Coventry is a students city with centrally located pubs as well as clubs and B'ham being only 5 mins drive away, whereas Liverpool is a racist capital of UK where "brownies' get beaten every now and then :P.

Edit : I dont know how long u've stayed there as a student but sooner or later u r gonna realize that 'house parties' are more fun esp in student halls and that is where most likely you are going to get a go at your crack/drugs :)

House parties are for US of A imo :P ....house party here just means doping for the sake of it and passing out, which I find retarded tbh.

 there is a remarkable difference between how the parties are celebrated over at your place and my earlier place. Anyways, man have fun while you are a student and even now my advice to you is stay away from drugs :) , its like having sex with a HIV infected person, it would be fun aright but the probability that the fun might ruin your /some 1 else life is very high :P .

@gaurav and unknown :

This is what i am concerned about, this mouth fagging and boasting soon develops into a habit without them realizing, most of the guys in my college days used to do it, thinking that it would help them to get the girls, little do the kids realise that you need a genuine intent and honest attitude to cover that part

very true....

BTW, did u ever drink?even once
