These words from you is something I could never imagine.. Always considered you a guy with sane head and ability to excel..with heart at the right place. I also believe that you really love your girlfriend for the person she is, rather than the person you have made out of her.. You may have your reasons to not like her Mom, but brainwashing her against her own parents is not advisable. Whoever they are, they are her parents. Similarly, If you love the person, accept their past, embrace their present and wish well for their future. Them being second hand or third hand has nothing to do with it. I am sure you just wrote it out of sense of humor gone wrong.. but keep away from display of such opinion, when your feelings for your girls are sincere and deep, which I for one, definitely know. As for Long distance Relationships. It is as simple or as complex as any serious relationship. It needs Love, Trust, Effort, Communication and Space.. Thats it!! I would really recommend everyone to take it as a test..before you commit to your BF/GF.. LDR, really has the potential to test your patiance, love, honesty and trust. If you can love when you are away from each other, remain sincere when no one is watching.. You have got the basics right!! Yeah, I'm just exaggerating things.. don't worry. I'm just a little pissed after a 'meet the parents' session where they threw some really weird conspiracy-theory-type stuff at me for I had no answer and were putting forth a few veiled insults at my folks .. had no answer except "What.. what the hell is this.. Seriously, it wasn't meant to be a serious post. It was a commentary on some very flirtatious, literally promiscuous women I know who take advantage of guys regularly and then drop them like rocks (especially when their wallets are empty ). And on the record, I don't like guys who do that either, had a 'friend' once who advised me to 'never leave my girl' and then went and got caught snogging a chick other than his gf in his car parked near the beach. Got caught on the beach by his present girlfriend mind you and the bugger didn't bother to explain, just closed the door and drove away in the blink of an eye . Pity that that girl knows how he is yet sticks with him saying "no I can't love anyone else even if he cheats on me once or twice". It was more like a crook running from the scene of the crime .. my gf was with her friend when it happened. This friend of my gf saw the guy in the car and approached the car to find him kissing some other girl. On seeing his gf beside the car (she began screaming "You cheat, you ****** me and now look what you're doing" ) and this bugger pulled the door closed instantly and just RAN like hell.. Not slowly reversed or anything, just whoooooosh Such a coward. They're both former schoolmates of mine and I've always known the guy's a bit of a worthless son-of-a-bitch but I thought he'd atleast stick with his one girlfriend for the love she showed him. The girl just won't leave him. Even now she sticks with him. He's always like "don't do this, don't do that, don't attend any guy's birthday party" to her while he hangs out with his own friends all the time (both female and male). We've tried telling her how he's gonna cheat on her all the time, to leave the loser but she won't. I just don't get it. The guy has a truckload of ill-gotten money (dad's some bigwig policeman with political connections and Mum's a doctor in a big hospital) and even his college seat was obtained purely through influence.
