vinitwins
@xeno thats the first time i'm seeing power bricks with 3pins (earthing) - almost every brick i've seen (jap, indian & us) have a 2or3-pin wall socket BUT only a 2pin connector on the brick itself... vinitwins
(CUT PASTING post from old forums) 1. the cable that connects into the US power brick features a standard 2-pin NON EARTHED plug 2. the cable that connects into the european (PAL) power brick features a standard 3-pin 15AMP EARTHED plug 3. the connector on the power brick (110V/US & 230V/PAL) features a 2pin male socket -- WHICH IS UNEARTHED! BUT the power brick's xbox connector has grounding pins & wires FINALLY MY QUESTION: How is the 360 receiving earthing/grounding?? V

vinitwins
i have a sep2006 US console. my cousin has an indian launch console. i've seen the jap console (mar2006) at alfa - all have 2 pin power bricks. plus my replacement power adapter (indian/european - sweet talked my way at MS to get a free brick) is also 2 pin (the cords for all have 3pins/5or15amp at the wall socket end & 2pin at the adapter socket end) V

The Game Druid
I just discovered this yesterday. I don't know how long has this been goin on but yesterday while changing games discs I happened to touch the metal strip of the attached harddrive and I got a mild shock. It was a faint electric shock but what could be the problem? Will it harm my console. Should I call the customer care? It should'nt happen...ur earthing is faulty..OR...u were sitting on a carpet...static electricity.

ScareZebra
Many mentioning that I have grounding problem... But I too have the 2 pin connector on the power brick... The wall unit has 3 pins, but the brick gets only two pints of connection.... So how does the box get earthing???
vinitwins
^^ use a spike guard with an led-indicator panel to check whether it's actually a grounding/earthing problem (or use a multimeter) V
MarketTantrik
V, you're gonna have to run an impromptu electrical engg course on this thread to allow most people to get your drift.
vinitwins
i'm confused myself MT - how can we have 2 different iterations of the 360 power supply/brick (viz. 2pins & 3pins) - and how can a fragile electronic device use 2pins...!
