Need some help connecting my 360 to my Viewsonic Va1912w Monitor. What cables/converters do i need to buy, where can i buy them from in Delhi/Gurgaon and around how much do they cost?

P.S- I read through the whole thread and didn't understand anything, i felt sort of stupid and very confused. Please help me.....India Australia series starts in less than a week.....wont get to touch that damn tv for a month :cry5:

Someone help me out........please

1. vga cable - dragon or m$ (i dont think you need a hd15 coupler as lcd monitors have female vga sockets)

2. rca female to stereo female converter (check this thread for pics) - this will allow you to output audio through desktop PC speakers or your monitors inbuilt speakers

V

ps: set your dashboard resolution to 1280x768 to minimize stretching

^^Can't seem to find the dragon cable anywhere.............checked ebay, playasia and pallika bazaar.............should i go for the M$ cable then?

You can pick up this cable from Play Asia

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-de-49-...178e-43-bn.html

You will still need a female female VGA connector.

And don't worry about feeling lost ! I was exactly like you, but after reading so much some stuff is finally sinking in.

Just explain how you need the cable to be  dumdum. If u still can't handle that, gimme a ring and i will get one for you from palam vihar. And BTW, the Dragon cable is available at digimart and i myself purchased it from Palika 5 months back

P.S: The cable is called RCA to stereo mini jack, i think (Female to Male)

xbox 360 crashing.......... alot

well, got my VGA coupler at last. connected everything up....... all is good.... but then when i stopped playing and exited the game and came on to the dashboard........ the monitor crashed......... the screen froze with some weird arse pixel pattern.

now started playing again today, playing assassins creed. now everything is going well, then when i comes to the load screen..... it crashes. then messed about with the resolution.......... then it crashes again, now it crashes in different points. same wired pixel pattern thingy comes on the screen.

ive tried, when it crashes, to take the vga cable out, then put it back in. same frozen picture comes up, even disconnected the vga coupler, then reattaching it...... same picture.

now, im guessing its my xbox 360. but its never ever crashed on me before. im gonna try to play on normal tv now to see what happens.

but can anyone suggest a solution?

dat usually happens when u r abt to get rrod.. trust me.. iv experienced it thrice..

it will freeze frequently..

your gpu is abt to blow....

pixel problem usually occurs because of GPU malfunction..

your xbox is abt to crash ..

wait for 1-2 days ..

whenever u get rrod. get ur console replaced..

for dat time gimmi ur creed so dat i cn play

well, just played another 4 hours of assassin creed, again, nothing happened, so ain't gonna touch anything now.

its the first time its happened, the crashing i mean, and its the first time i setup with a monitor and vga cable.

@JD: i can't get it replace, out of region = out of warranty....... so will probably need to get it repaired.

they start shipment in 24 hrs from their warehouse. the time it actually takes you to receive will depend on your shipping option - free, fedex. i am not very clear about it, but all imports (especially electronic stuff) require duty to be paid. there are other peeps on the forum who can suggest options / give better insight. also, you might want to check out the Import forums here. they have a lot of the relevant info.

Cheers.

^^ try free shipping - it takes time, they'll bubble wrap it. the chances are it will slip through without duty.

not sure about availability in hyd. don't even know if it's there in palika - read somewhere else about it being available there a year(!) back.
