ZooZoo
As the title says, who all are planning to go to Comicon in Bengaluru this year? Maybe we can use it as unofficial IVG meetup.
Mysteryman
Been there twice and never want to visit such event again. 1. There is no maximum limit on tickets sold so the venue is always usually overcrowded with little space to walk around. 2. Poor organizing. There are 2 lines to get in. Before you enter the venue, you need to collect the band which is really dumb. Just show the digital ticket in the smartphone to get in like in any movie theatre. How hard is this??? 3. Digital payments/apps/cards dont work there and no ATMs around so carry lots of cash beforehand if you expect to buy something. 4. This is essentially a yard sale (like a food court version for comics). Stuff can be cheaper and easier to get online. Basically the Comiccon experience in India is not the same as you see in the West.
ZooZoo
Damn man, I was really excited. Now I will rather put my money into buying some comics online instead.
Houndini
I think the only benefit is you can get some indie comics or creator owned comics at CC, when most of it is sold out online. Most bheed is at anime or figurine stalls. Indie ones are mostly forever alone.

AtheK
It's such a bloody sham, utter waste of time.
Houndini
I think it’s worth going to get autographed copies of some comics tbh.

Ya if you are a collector, stopped with physical print of comics long back.
Root
I agree I have been to Mumbai comicon couple of times, its just scam at this point. No proper management or crowd control, too expensive for a such a place.
ZooZoo
So I'll be going to spot few comics I am not able to find online anywhere. Wont take the 3 day pass, will probably get pass for Saturday and go for a day then. BTW, people who have been to Comicon Bangalore before, is there proper parking there or I'm better off taking an auto

I'll be coming from Bannerghatta Area. So metro would be a longer stretch for me as I will have to go to Jayanagar then to Majestic, switch lines there and then get on metro for KTPO and then walk from there. If parking is fine then I might as well take bike or card early in morning.
