I miss Joe (he was from Australia). He used to post a lot in the gaming section, mostly in RPG game threads. Was a mod here as well but suddenly his account vanished from IVG!

It was pretty unusual that he cut off gaming entirely from his life (not just in forums).

There are certain things which I'm not allowed to speak but he hasn't retired from gaming completely. The guy knows his way around.

I joined this forum when I was a bachelor and had bought a new x360.  Was looking for a place to discuss hints and tips to beat the boss in geow lol

 

speaking of playing video games as a hobby, apart from family/work related stuff, there’s ott content which keeps adding new stuff which occupies a lot of my free time and with ps extra and pc gamepass, it does feel like too much content but too little time.

 

I’ve evolved as a person but video games have still stuck with me , albeit taking much smaller slice of my free time than they used to.   Pandemic / wfh kinda helped me reboot my interest to some extent.   I do feel the excitement has come down though.  I no longer care for playing games on day 1 (actually avoid it considering how bug infested games are on launch these days).   I play far  lesser no hours than I used to, maybe 6-7 hours per week (many days I don’t start my ps5 at all).  I don’t replay games these days to try multiple endings (I think cp 2077 was an exception but it got so many patches it kept me coming back just to see what has changed), I mostly play on easy/normal and try to complete the main quest as much as possible.  
 

Overall, I think It’s still a good way for me to de stress and clear my mind and get a bit of “me time” amidst all the hustle/bustle of life, and I hope I don’t get completely bored of it anytime soon

Basically any forum be it this or any other is dead in the water.

 

Also gaming as we knew it is Changed to something else entirely.

 

 

Most are F2P players around the world & they care less about campaign based games.

 

Basically we & the games we knew are a dying breed.

The shout was easily the most fantastic part of the forum back in the day, I used to just shout and hardly post anything. 

 

The amount of time I was perma-banned from shout was unbelievable. Banned pretty much every week, lol. Those were the days. 

 

PS: Back in the day, even saying things like Ganbang Pushy by 8 forum members or calling a guy named Dullu 'Dalle' were allowed and tolerated!

So many people, now barely active, fkrs don't even bother a IVG Mumbai Meet. we started it, the BGC continued it for a while, those were the days men. GeOW at Blue Frog with GI peepz lurking around. the KZ launch event at a fk'n theater (can't recollect which it was) every1 was there, that n!gga Atindnra bose too, lel. IVG Mum meet 1, then 1.2 or 1.5 then 2, men that was classic sheet. peeps getting mad over each other in console wars, getting a$$z banned, then banhammer, then came it's oil. the balcony chronicles with Sam, with gold coin picking up session with KC. then there was MT (market tantrik), CC (CarbonCore?). then there was members getting banned on the xbox forums, then there was insane KZ2 PS3 gangbaning sessions, remembers, the thread used to fill up with 30+ members instantly when we used to plan them death matches and sheets and then some peeps used to post the replays, SAHA used to get lot of flack, lel. then the Xmas craze started with DAn and chairman  and also the 12Bajj Gaya Deals and what not, men men men, days lost. there's so much to write, but i guess sometimes later, lel
