Impale!!!! just finished Darksiders on apocalyptic!!! \m/ get the feeling the developers had the "lets add just one more ... just one more bossfight before the final boss" syndrome ...... the game did feel a bit dragged at the end all the backtracking iiiphew!! and ... nevertheless a good game!!! StormShadow
collecting the Armageddon blade pieces.last two to go. game is huge.repeatitive during the normal thug fights.but boss battles are cool! puzzles feel overdone at times. have found loads of collectibles.everything in the game seems at appropriate difficulty to find but not the legendary artifacts.found just 1 (Fury's Embrace) till now. the "jump" button is unresponsive as hell ! awesome voice acting. loved the character "Samael". a good game most missed. cheers. spindoctor
yea the pc version seems to be a substandard port according to what i've been reading as well. the only graphics options you can choose are resolution and vsync, performance is below what it should be, aa cannot be enabled on either ati or nvidia.... they had over a half a year to make this port and they've done the bare minimum required and put it out. so i'm disappointed now. i've waited patiently for the pc version since i heard about the game back in april or so... wondering whether i should still get the pc version or just go for one of the console versions? Ethan_Hunt
so i'm disappointed now. i've waited patiently for the pc version since i heard about the game back in april or so... wondering whether i should still get the pc version or just go for one of the console versions? It's pretty simple. If the retail copy of the PC version is cheaper, then go for it. The 360 version has a 30fps cap , V-Sync issues, dull textures & no anti-aliasing. So you're better off with the PC version which at least has a V-Sync option and would natively ramp up the resolution to 1920x1080, as opposed to the console upscaling. I'm assuming frame rates aren't capped on PC, so that's another cookie there for it.
spindoctor
the pc retail version will cost me 630 bucks, while buying a 360/ps3 copy and reselling it back on the TP should hopefully end up costing me less. the point isn't really about the money though... waiting this long for a game that has been pretty highly praised by most folks around here, and then finding out that it was time wasted isn't sitting too well with me. Let's Look at it this way, it wasn't an extremely pretty looking game on the console either. I didn't expect much for it's PC port, except for AA incorporation and V-Sync. Too bad they failed to include AA in the game, but hey, if it performs better than the console version, I don't see any harm in picking it up. Besides, visuals aren't the key aspect of this game, it's the platforming, puzzle solving, story and action element which make this game shine. Plus, you can always re-sell the PC version too, right? Dark_Knight
Plus, you can always re-sell the PC version too, right? I think its a Steamworks game... So I don't think that would be possible...
Ethan_Hunt
I thought the retail version was a GFWL game or it's not? Either way, it's going to be worth the price.

Dark_Knight
^ Yes. Once you register the key then the game is tied to your account and you don't need your disc anymore.
