^^ no planes, only choppers....since unlike GTA SA, GTA 4 has only one city, again, R* thought of making it realistic and removed planes And no bicycles as well, again the same - 'to make it realistic' reasoning ! And from what R* has said so far, no real estate acuqisition etc, since GTA 4 is not about rags-to-riches but all about survival. Also, no more wanted stars, they are redoing the whole thing - from what they have described it looks like the one in scarface - which is good !

 

BTW, good to know that pcj and sanchez are making a comeback....

dats bcos .... the plane missions were damn frustrating ..... took me almost 1 entire month to complete them ......

^^ he he, they were da only difficult missions in GTA SA, rest all were damn too easy....i still remember the plane mission where u needed to jump from one plane to another....took more than 6-7 retries for me And the bad part was, u needed to fly all the way back to the casino to restart the mission !

 

But IMO, more difficult than that were zero's missions !

^^ personally i liked GTA VC better than GTA SA ..... the RC plane bombing mission was too much fun ..... i still play GTA VC at times on the PC ....

^^ ah, thats one of the most frustrating mission i've ever played, hated all rc missions in VC !

 

But I agree that GTA VC was a lovely game. I loved the 80s setting and Tommy was a lot better character than the whiny CJ. It even had a lot of harder missions as well compared to GTA SA. The radio show especially by Maurice Chavez had me all rofl ! Simply amazing that R* came up with such a brilliant game just after a year of GTA 3 !

for me the best was GTA3 for ps2.............. but then after.......................... SA............... never got boring. and sky diving was f**king nuts.

definitely agree on the music side, i went out bought the music box set for both SA and vice city................... vice city kick monkey ares, the best music every............... all i will say is ................. billie jean and Drive by on a chopper............ classic moment...............

It's too bad the cars in SA were REALLY flimsy. So customization wasn't really worth it. I hope the cars in GTA IV aren't so weak.

^^ ya, all customization lost out just with a crash....but money in GTA SA was so easy, u wouldnt mind it

 

offtopic: Saints Row is damn stingy in terms of money, all u get is a petty $500-$1000 I finished up level 5 escort and all i get is a mere $1500 - gimme a break, all that hardwork....just feels wasted !

You'll earn more money once you acquire territories and stuff. You can collect it from any of your safehouses (another GTA rip-off )

 

I didn't have money problems in SR. I was always pimping out in flashy suits and custom rides

acquire territories means completing missions right ? i'm getting some $1400 per day now....still not enuf, with so many customization options available....hell, a plastic surgery costs $3000 in stillwater.... !

^^ Yeah completing Story Missions and Strongholds. You'll get an icon on the map for a rival gang Stronghold from time to time. Just go there and kill everyone.

 

BTW I also like how you get some specific upgrades / weapons / costumes when you fully complete an Activity. I never managed to complete all of them though. Some of them get too difficult on higher levels.

well i used the money cheat in sr so unfortunately i didnt get any achievemnets.....btw..i bought every dam thing in the game..
