Why hasnt M$ revealed details of the GTA IV DLC yet ?

Post from a GTA Forum about the 360 Version

 

For the past 2 hours I've been watching a streaming feed of GTA4 being played on an Xbox 360. I found some interesting things out and had some questions answered. Heres what i managed to uncover in my and others on the sites, opinion:

 

Spoilers ahead

 

 

Pop Up Problems-. personally didnt see any, The buildings appear in foucs from way back and nothing seemed bad, it was smooth and even if there was slight lag. Who cares. Its a game. Games arent perfect.

 

Driving Issues- All this stuff about iffy driving controls is BS. I watched tha player use about 15 different vehicles including, SUV, Standard Car, SPorts cars, Ambulance, Police cars and an Oil Truck.

 

The vehicles performance depend on the vehicle itself. Whislt some of the rubbish cars etc seemed a bit quirky and loose, the better cars or heavier vehicles eemed much more stable and he was able to traverse traffic jams with ease.

 

Physics-. They seemed spot onto me. When Niko gets in a fight, the opponent actually stubles, falls back and retaliates in different ways. He fought this fat guy and he tripped over on the kerb and smacked his head on a bench and died.

 

That real enough for ya?

 

Pedestrian Issues- As me and other people discussed it sems that the different amount of Peds differ from area to area. In some places he went to there were practically none but still an OK level. In others it was buzzing.

 

Graphics- Absolutly lush even through a webcam.

 

Camera Angles- There are many to choosefrom. I belive i saw a "dashboard" view at one point along with some sweet a*s cinemtic style angles.

 

Its all down to location.

 

Anyway. Those Are MY findings. Im not re-hyped about the game and the odd glitch isnt going to bother me. Thats the fun of GTA in some respects. The crazy glitches at some points.

Pal GTA IV More Than a Gig Smaller Than NTSC Version

The pirates are bad (despite their attempts to convince us otherwise) but they have turned up a rather unsettling discovery. The Pal version of the game being torrented comes in at 6.32GB, now this by its self really means nothing other than the fact that there is a fair amount of space left on the disc. But combined with the knowledge that the NTSC version is 7.3GB leaves me concerned and slightly perplexed.

 

A gigabyte worth of information difference? That is a substantial amount of info. I am not going to dwell on this for too long, as it will only depress me, but that ads up to a lot more than one or two cut scenes. Will a simple Youtube watching be enough to enjoy the scenes that are cut out?

 

Time will tell.

just spoke to nash...he's playing the game and he is loving it....totally worth it, he says

 

btw, PAL versions of games are always bigger than NTSC versions due to multiple languages....NTSC versions usually only have one language...in fact PAL versions some time cut down on bonus content to accommodate the multiple languages

 

i cant take it anymore...the wait is getting too much now....maybe posting here will reduce the excitement

All those who're playing the game.. I want to know its region status. I've ordered it from the IVG Offer but I have an NTSC-J console. Will I be ecstatic or suicidal on the 29th?

 

 

PS: If it doesn't work.. I'll put it up in the trading section for a couple of 100 bucks off from the IVG Offer price.

Well, the Aussie version works on NTSC-J console but since we are getting the EU version it most probably won't. I have an NTSC-J too and didn't order from GI for the same reason as I wanted to be sure.

 

Even if you put it on sale for the IVG Offer price it'd sell easily :)
