^^in a way, we were all mislead by the high scores and the hype.if the game had a 9.5 and the hype had been less loud we may have actually loved this game withou any reservations.

i think this time marketing screwed the developing dpt.

 

they were banking on the fact that, after a hit we would come out into a rumbling storm, or after chase into the sunset, we would fail to notice that we have already done this a few times, but just look at the scenery.

Just bought this game and Loving everybit of it driving is diificult which absolutely i love looks real time now going to be hooke up to my 360 for hrs.

Before I end a lengthy GTA IV session I make it a point to make a hard save at a safe house and since I was in the vicinity I landed up at the safe house in Middle Park East (as shown in the image below). Now I got into a scuffle with one of the pedestrians and since I was in no mood to indulge in a fist fight with him, I just shot him. Luckily there were cops nearby and they turned their attention toward me. Since I had already hard saved a minute back I decided to dick around a bit. One thing led to another and I ended up killed tons of cops as a result of which I was stuck with a nice four star rating.

 

 

And that's when I decided to run into the lobby of the safe house where I killed even more cops and members of the swat team that kept pouring in. Pretty soon I had a five star rating and just as I was about to die I made it to the lift marker that transported me to the safe house where I waited for nearly 10 minutes with a five star rating without worrying about the cops chasing me down.

 

The point of this rather lengthy story is that if you haven't got the One Man Army ach yet and you're willing to take advantage of certain game mechanics you could try this method out.

The subway system is a nice place to hide out also. I don't think the fuzz ever enter the service areas in the tunnels.

Never tried that way out. Anyway, doesn't make too much of a difference to my life since I'm playing the PS3 version anyway.

Yeah, after attaining the wanted level, I just went under the bridge into the tunnel. No cops there. Though when I went to the train embarking point, I got my a*s handed to me (after getting the achievement)

 

Anyways, I dunno but it's sort of just carried over from SA, I always make it a point to make a hard save before I quit the game. Thank god I do this, since I read at another forum that a person was about 3-4 missions till the end and his 360 screwed him, all his autosaves were gone since his 360s date reset to 2005 without him doing anything.

I hard save once in a while for two reasons

 

1. If my health is low and safehouse is closer than the next hotdog stand

2. For trying out a mission again in a different way (especially the ones where u gotta make a choice)

Im 14% into the the game and cant seem to find any clothes shops except for that Russian one......

The other ones are in the next burrow and just so you know the game only have 3 clothes shops so don't go around expecting too much.

all i bought in SA were glasses, chains n shoes from all the shops.

 

all 3 missin in IV

 

also didn't u feel the final mission was nothin close to SA's finale n was xtremely easy

SA's final mission wasn't really too difficult to be honest.

 

Ayush, mind posting your stats screenies? I find it hard to believe that you died just thrice all game

I died thrice while playing it.....

i chose "money"....i dunno what happens if u chose "revenge"

Important info for those who haven't finished the game-Save your game in 2 slots after the mission "That special someone"....in th mission after that u've gotta make a big choice n the last 2 missions depend upon the choice u make....so if u have 2 slots u don't need to start all over again to see what happens if u make the other choice.
