really hope R* don't screw up with the DLC.btw i don't think there's any point in dating any1 else except SoBoHoe and Lawchick.I dumped Kate after 2 dates.

really wasn't shocked either when Michelle turned out to be a rat.I didn't like her warm coffee anyways.

ok, well just completed the game story on 86%. well, as a whole, the game was rated much higher that it should. loved the game. but there wasn't really anything next-gen about the game. and i really feel R* need to get back to drawing board on the mission layouts, too predictable. i didn't get the pride on the last mission, that you get in VC and SA. that epic feeling just goes out the window. cover base system is cool, i have to admit. but as a whole the game lacks the magic, that you get in SA and VC.

 

 

and think brings me on to the DLC. its now got to be REALLY GOOD AND f**kING WORTH IT, if its gonna make me go back to GTA4 later in the future.

 

 

i can't say i was disappointed, but i can't even say i was impressed.

i have completed 60 main missions and playing lotta side missions now.. my aim is to make 100% completion this time and get ma name in rockstatr social club site.. completed all 50 stunt jumps today.. and playing police comp side missions now.. but the bigg worry is shooting 200 pigeons all over map

I completed the story at 65% and I'm at 67% now after a couple of random extra missions round town.

 

I think the lack of 'magic' THEDIRECTOR brought up could be because of the increased focus on realism when compared to the previous titles. For better or worse, I just don't see Niko flying through the air in a jetpack.

 

Also, remember that scene in one of the later trailers where you see Niko being driven around in a limo? Another axed mission/feature like the pole climbing?

is the best ending among the two available. Simply because

Roman dying hits you a lot harder than Kate biting the bullet. The Kate romance was mostly left to the player and I'm sure most people will pay absolutely no attention to her after the first couple of forced dates. Roman on the other hand sticks with you at key plot points and is with you when the main focal point of the whole story, Darko Brevic finally shows up. I think you instinctively want to listen to his pleas to go for the deal so they can move to sunny Vice City.

@reaps: realism more story/setting wise than incidentals. And your point can be applied to any number, check that: ALL games. Why have health packs at all then for example? Lets not forget that this is a game at the end of the day. Realism has to take a shotgun slug in the nuts somewhere I was comparing realism levels to previous games in the series thats all. A 'real' game just wouldn't be much fun.

 

On the topic, I read this wonderful interview in a magazine right after the original Half-Life came out. What the AI programmer being interviewed said was that coding AI to goof up and make things easy for the player to WIN (in a believable manner) was more of a challenge than coding AI to behave like a spec-ops soldier would do IRL and not stick their heads out at just the right angle so you can get that headshot. Half-Life had some amazing soldier AI. An absolute joy to play against.

 

 

@Ayush: If you read carefully I did mention that

Roman brings Vice City up over the phone. And about Kate, what I was trying to say was that I didn't really care whether she lived or died. But Roman dying was something I gave a sh*t for, which made for for a good ending. So Roman dying > Kate dying, in terms of impact. The ending doesn't have to be good ONLY if he lives you know

for ppl who are going for 100% here is the perfect pigeon guide.. i killed some 32 already.. i think for 100% this is the only tough part.. the jumps are just 50 and police missions also are quite easy
