To those who are still playing the game:

Easy way to get 'One man army' achievement: Just go to alderney(when its still locked), during one of brucie's heli rides and just fly high, u will have 6 stars, but the police heli wont come so high and you can just stay there for 5 mins. You can even leave the controller, heli will stay there. Once u get the achievement, just fly back outside of the circle at the same elevation and go to your destination to complete the heli ride :)

Grand Theft Auto 4 Pulled From Thailand Shelves

18-year old blames real-life murder on controversial game.

How hard is it to get a piece of media taken off shelves in Thailand? Apparently it's as easy as saying four words and an acronym: "GTA made me do it."

Reuters is reporting (via gamesindustry.biz) that Polwat Chino, an 18-year-old high school student, is now in custody after robbing and killing a 54 year-old taxi driver with a knife. According to chief police investigator Veeravit Pipattanasak, Chino told police that he "wanted to find out if it was as easy in real life to rob a taxi as it was in the game." The game he's referring to is none other than every politician's favorite game to hate, Grand Theft Auto IV.

The Times Online reports that while in custody, Chino also said he needed more money to play the game because his parents only gave him 100 baht a day, "which is not enough." He added, "I am also fed up with them fighting. They are civil servants and do not make good money." Chino admitted that he didn't mean to kill the driver but decided to stab him to death when he fought back.

The police said the teen showed no signs of mental problems and was described by his parents as polite and diligent. Call me crazy, but killing someone and calmly blaming it on a videogame seems like a sure sign that everything's not right upstairs.

Following the crime, a Thai videogame distributor halted sales of the game and Sakchai Choitikachinda, the country's sales and marketing director of New Era Interactive Media, told Reuters, "We are sending out requests today to outlets and shops to pull the games off their shelves and we will replace them with other games." Additionally, Choitikachinda is urging the game to be pulled from arcades. In light of these knee-jerk reactions, we can't help but wonder if equivalent action would have been taken had he blamed his actions on another game such as Super Mario Galaxy or Rayman Raving Rabbids.
