i checked today at croma they did not have it!!!

............for my brother (i played it on 360........he is a hermit....."mouse and keyboard are the best" , "auto aim sux" ,"GFX!!", etc kind of quotes........hell, we dont even have a good PC at home!!)

Traded my 360 copy away so definately getting the PC version. Should ideally have it tommorow if Landmark in Gurgaon stock it.

 

BTW since this is GFW live I am guessing I can use my 360 tag to sign in right?

Grand Theft Auto 4 PC Review :

The ability to save video clips and play 32-player MP separate the PC version.

 

When this game came out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 earlier this year, we hadn't yet seen how Fallout 3 managed freedom without betraying its characters. We also hadn't yet seen Saints Row 2 and Mercenaries 2, which presented open cities as carefully crafted playgrounds. But now the GTA4 is available on the PC, its sins are cast in an even sharper relief. In addition to the clumsy story, the game design is often thoughtless and shortsighted. Rockstar treats Liberty City as a backdrop...when it should have been the stage itself.

BTW FWIW I think the game was pretty good. Just not great.

The only reason I am even getting this game on PC is for a) posterity, MP and c) its cheap.

 

Seriously at 500 Rs its a waste NOT to buy it.

Sure thing dude. Am playing the game at home and so far the performance is pretty underwhelming. This is probably the worst port Rockstar have ever made (from a technical standpoint).

I thought the SP was waay too repetitive. I dont think I will enjoy another 15 hours of Drive to A, shoot B, evade cops and return.

 

SA had more variety in SP. GTA 4 just repeats the same mission over and over again.

The realism....err the pseudo realism....can u expect to steal a military plane and bomb some ship, while being a russian immigrant ? All you can do is, drive to A, shoot B, evade cops and return to safe house to take katie to another round of darts

 

Joking aside, i wish they had more plane and boat missions. Flying is really exhilirating in GTA IV, I'm sad it was underused.
