IGN review out!!

grand-theft-auto-iv-the-lost-and-damned-20090212093204504.jpg

IGN says:

Without question The Lost & Damned, a $20 Xbox 360 exclusive, is the meatiest DLC to date. Not only do you get a significant single-player campaign, but L&D includes 54 new music tracks, 20 new vehicles, a half-dozen new weapons, new side missions, new TV shows and new multiplayer modes...........

......

.....

.....[final para]

It's important to note that The Lost and Damned is not a new game. There's just so much content here that it feels like something brand new. This is a downloadable episode and as such, it is judged against other episodic content on Xbox 360. But even something like Elder Scrolls IV's The Shivering Isles can't compete against The Lost and Damned. The gameplay changes are great and the multiplayer is excellent. If the story and new characters were better, this would be the perfect $20 download. But as it stands, it's still the best available by a long shot.

Here's the complete list of multiplayer modes:

  • Deathmatch
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Races
  • Club Business
  • Lone Wolf Biker
  • Chopper vs. Chopper
  • Witness Protection
  • Own the City
  • Free Mode

.............. :ranting:

Score:

8.5 Presentation----The cut-scenes and dialogue are top notch, but the story isn't very good.

9.5 Graphics----Still the same brilliant city, but the default grain filter uglies things up a bit.

10 Sound----Excellent voice works, great sound effects, and a killer new soundtrack.

10 Gameplay-----GTA IV just got better. Bikes are a blast and the new weapons are a whole lot of fun.

10 Lasting Appeal----For DLC, this is about as good as it gets. A long campaign, plenty of bonus quests and nine multiplayer modes.

9.0 Outstanding OVERALL

(out of 10 / not an average)

TLAD update has brought changes to GTA also.

- New loading screens in the Main GTA

- Lost guys can be now seen roaming around the city, on foot more though

- If you visit the Lost clubhouse in GTA, you can find Lost signs there. Sadly no way you can get into this house as Nico.

- Driving cars is apparently much easier(or its just me), Driving cars in TLAD is NO FUN...

- A mate has told me that one of the apparel shop has Lost Jacket for Nico, I doubt it, I will need to confirm this...

Bike physics has certainly improved, but I would say it could have been a lot better. I was subjected to few superman leaps after bumping into obstacles. You would feel this after couple of missions in the game ...Riding in pack of bikers is hell...
