Why hasnt M$ revealed details of the GTA IV DLC yet ?

I would have waited for the Indian release too. But I can't help but think of BioShock. I was so glad that I ordered it from the states...

 

So I'm not taking chances with GTA IV and ordering it from ShopTo as soon as they open pre-orders.

Free MS Points for GTA pre-order

GAME is offering free Microsoft Points when you pre-order Grand Theft Auto IV from them.

 

Bribery, eh? Yes indeed, but we like bribery. Actually, journalists probably aren't supposed to say that.

 

Apparently it's for 500 Microsoft Points and four exclusive gamerpics, and GAME told us earlier that you will be emailed a code either on the day of release or soon after.

 

That day of release is of course 29th April for PS3 and 360, but the MS Points offer inevitably only applies to 360.

ok Guys...i had a talk to a palika shopkeeper from whom i always buy..he says that he will get gta4 with him on 1st may....when he has it ill let you know...if we all but together atleast 5 copies then we can get good discount about 10-15% a copy...i buy everygame from him at 300rs less than mrp

The game is not RF so if you have a PAL console, you might want to order from GAME or ShopTo (preferably since the site doesn't attract customs). PA usually doesn't stock PAL versions of games. The GTA IV they have listed is NTSC.

Some new tidbits collected from the GTA IV hype thread at neogaf:

 

The cast of characters guesstimated at being in the hundreds

 

VP of development, Jeronimo states "We want this game to last for years. Im sure we'll do another GTA some time in the future, but this one is built to last" They also mention that the PS3 will most likely have their own form of DLC as well.

 

Knife: "one slash across the face was enough to drop a bad guy"

 

The girlfriends feature is the same as it is in San Andreas, pick up the girl, take her to a restaurant, drive her home, etc.

 

A big head-on crash will cause you to go flying out of the windscreen to serious injury and possibly death: Niko ain’t got time for seatbelts.

 

-Jumping out of a moving car can create a truly awesome ragdoll/Euphoria effect that makes Saints Row’s insurance scam missions look like a piss-weak joke. We wasted a good ten minutes just laughing our arse off driving into busy areas at full pace and then bailing out the door.

 

-Niko likes the ladies.

 

Rocket launchers:-

"Explosions in GTA IV are stupidly destructive and absolutely massive - on the same scale as Crackdown's multi-car-flinging booms. Smoke trails realistically as car doors and debris are flung through the air. Even pedestrians who escape the initial blast are usually left on fire, running around like big, fiery Guy Fawkes.

 

- "Explore any of the city's many hospitals (where you'll respawn if you're killed) and you'll come across water coolers. Fire at these and water will spill out of the holes you've made in the plastic." :(

 

"You can’t just jump into an ambulance and suddenly become a paramedic or drive a cab and pick up fares. Rockstar believes that this feature is just too unrealistic; it might still exist in some form, but one that would fall within the overall mission structure of the game."

 

Dialing 911 calls a cop car, ambulance, or fire truck, which respond in real time from their stations throughout Liberty City's five boroughs. It's a handy trick for any missions that require you to steal emergency vehicles. Police cars are especially useful; you can use their computers to research people you meet. An even handier trick: Since cops will now try to stop any crimes they see - whether committed by you or others - you can give them a call if you're on the losing end of a gunfight or brawl. The fuzz will pull up and arrest the aggressors, helping you for a change."

^^ these are not directly from gaf, some of these are from previews seen at other gaming websites just collected together at one place by some member !

 

but yeah, everything at neogaf can't be believed - thats very true !
