hey there - welcome to GI - first up, no questions / discussions on piracy will be entertained, so would request you to edit the last line in your post.

you've made a good decision to buy a 360 - however, I suggest wait till the end of February - you might get a pleasant surprise (Sam - back me up here).

Although the xbox 360s across the world are using new chips which reduce the RROD threat significantly, we in India are stuck with old stock from launch in India. However, you get a 3 year warranty for RROD, and MS generally replaces it quickly in big cities (a week). So buy safely.

If you want to get games cheaply I suggest become an active member and keep a lookout on the Trading Post - there are usually good deals and available on many games.

first of all, welcom to the forums.

1. buying a 360 from anywer is the same .. the service issues are handled by reddington directly. no need to worry about service issues.

2. Any 360 can RRoD .. u can never be too sure ..

3. u serious?? next gen gaming on a 14" ??? u better get ur self atleast a 19 / 22" LCD WS monitor to enjoy the graphics.

4. U are asking an illegal Q. piracy discussions are a strict nono on the forums.

Judging from Bulovski's post, hes hinting that the new xbox's might come to india soon. So wait till then.

The RRoD problem is a big pain in the a*s.

If you don't want to wait, buy it but be mentally prepared for disc scratching/RRoD chances.

Or just buy a ps3 :naughty:

with the new dashboard update u can install games right ? that atleast reduces scratching of discs and chances of RROD

Whats with the RROD fear? Its a 3 year waranty. There is nothing to worry about, at worst you will be without your Xbox a few days while MS replace it.

Unless you mod it. In which case if you get RROD you are screwed. And deservingly so. Buy legit games.

Also whats with the Feb surprise that keeps popping up? MS bringing Arcade in here?
