Nemo Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 Yeah even i got bored after killing dutch when you gotta do some missions with your wife , son and uncle same here, hell i thought the game is over and these are just endless loop of extra missions, little did i know the main badass ending it yet to come, i actually read about it somewhere, i kick my self for reading about it (did not read the actual ending spoiler but read that some story is still left) but then again i dont think i would have played all those missions till a few days after had i not known the game ending is yet to come. Yep. They shuda just left it at that. After that awesome ride, of course i believe those missions were set in order to teach young jack the tricks of the trade so that you can eventually go on to play as him , symbolic of course. but i dont think they should have left it at that, i mean yes had they ended there it still would have been a very very good game; but the actual ending is what made it a GREAT game. can some1 tell me how to play the co-op DLC that came out, I still have to play it...which menu options can we find it? can i play offline alone? offline alone ?? if you mean split screen co-op then no. as for playing co-op online, i only know how to play with people in your friend list, press start, select MP and then from your friend list of people that are playing the game, you can invite or get invitations for co-op. Meh. yea i tried to lasso him... but that thurki reyes.. shot the colonel dood n then shot williamson as well.... i also walked away form de santa n the rebels shot him... after which they kept on pakofying n asking y i did not shoot him... even reyes asked y i did not shoot him.... do u get a trophy for revenge or something for killing de santa, willlaimson urself?? Bonnie flirted with him and Marston's intentions were clean. John helped her and in turn, asked for a small favour of getting some cattle once he returned to his family. There might have been some subtle romantic indications between them, but what did you expect would happen in the end? Life's not fair, get over it. That's the way the story was written to end. It's not the first time in gaming history that a protagonist dies towards the end. It was an emotional joyride and provided a more realistic touch. Marston didn't die like a dog, he fought for his family, ensured their safety and died proudly. Marston was an outlaw earlier and this was his final redemption moment. You did eventually get to take revenge on Ross using Jack. It may not be a explosive ending, but it sure was a emotional one. His wife was crying next to him and then she took a gun, put it to her temple and fired. Brilliant game. The place looks absolutely beautiful. At the end when u go to her to deliver corn and she sees you with your wife and how happy you two are and then when u leave she just stands there and sheepishly sweeps the tracks with her foot.. like knowing this relation ship has no future.. quite touching. Also for closure, if you (jack) go back to the ranch and play poker, you will hear that Bonnie has been married and went off with her husband. most likely the dude at her ranch who helped her with the horses in that barn fire mission Landon Rickets if you buy a newspaer after the ending, one of it says he died a natural death. nice way to end his saga, simple and effective Ending dilemma many ask why john did not run away with his family.. well, he was up against the US army, the government, no matter where he went, Ross would hunt him down and kill him and his family if they are with him, u cant realy fight the goddamned government. By sacrificing himself, john saved his family. You could ask he could have ran to mexico and get protection under Reyes, plausible but not really practical, you see as per john even he was not sure Reyes would remember him the next day.. Reyes was a man who only cared about himself, you saw how he treated that peasant girl.. lusia, who begged marston to save reyes from shootout. also if you read a newspaper post ending it says Reyes took over mexico and becae a carbon copy of the previous dictator, a tyrant, he too wanted power.. only for himself. so in short, the game has closure for everything, only its often subtle and not in your face, you gotta look around a bit. achilles Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 Well..it's awesome that the best mission, or rather the mission that defines the game is actually a side mission So..here are my favs of the game : Character : Irish (robbing the nuns while drunk to the pee plus..the accent when he's drunk.. Location : thieves landing (beautiful, beautiful place) Weapon : mauser pistol (fully automatic with a 15 bullet clip) & sawed off shotgun Mission : remember my family. I was actually so consumed with killing Ross that I did not use fast travel, instead kept hitting x to make the horse go faster and kept feeding him apples Mission (story) : mission where you have to capture the train. For me, no other mission captured the essence of the west better. Mission (stranger) : who are you to judge. Making love to a horse Moment : horse ride with the awesome song playing after killing Dutch Outfit : duster Minigame : liar's dice Horse : Kentucky saddler Most used equipment/kit : moonshine & medicine Worst location : blackwater. Dull. Most hated character : Abigail & Jack (I fkn travelled the world, put my life on the line for them and the a*s f**ks show me nothing. Not even a hint of compassion. No warmth from aby. f**k that sh*t. Overall an awesome, awesome game. About 85% in. Would hunt for other outfits, a couple of leftover stranger missions etc. Just got slow (and really slow towards the end. Though it was a build up to the ending so it's cool. A solid 9/10 from me.
