KiranB28 Posted June 8, 2010 Report Share Posted June 8, 2010 Impressions after fiddling with the game for an hour last night... niiiiiiice!! I was pleasantly surprised, seeing how i didn't take well to GTA4. RDR seems to have a better storyline, putting more emphasis on the characters you encounter and your relationships with them. The wild west looks absolutely GORGEOUS... from early mornings to sunsets, horse back riding and maneuvering through dark canyons while picking off bad guys, followed by looting their camps... it all feels absolutely EPIC. Looking forward to playing more when I get home (though could prove to be tough seeing how beautiful the weather is outside... the wifey won't let me stay home ). The gunplay feels good, though slightly unrealistic at long-ranges (picking people off with such precision so easily). Negligible though; can't wait to play more! I had joined a posse with five other players and we rode from area to area clearing out gang hideouts. After we had cleared one of the hideouts, we started whistling for our horses. I was standing next to another player and his horse came first and I stole it. He got furious and started yelling curses at me. He then saw my horse coming and ran to jump on it. Before he could do so, I shot my horse and killed it and then rode away. So five of us rode off to the next hideout and this chap was left to hotfoot it till he could lasso or steal another horse since I was riding his horse. He finally caught up with us just as we were finishing up the next hideout and he promptly shot me dead. I respawned just as he was climbing on to his horse and before he could ride away I killed it with a head shot. He got furious and tried shooting me again. The rest of the posse noticed and all of them ganged up on him and killed him cause they thought that he was willfully assassinating team mates for no reason. There is a problem with availability in India so there are very few IVG people on Live. Karoo has a X360 copy but he keeps playing NG2 instead of RDR.
