Co-op DLC time rockstar games always look best when it is raining. that's because the rain hides how bad the game really looks . i have to say, i'm pretty disappointed with the visuals on this one. I dunno.. I thought even GTA IV looked pretty good Ya, Liberty City looks awesome in BOGT when its raining coz it hides all the turd. As for RDR, its the best looking open world game I've ever played. peace What was. So wrong with how GTA IV looked? Dlc is not out yet. it's out on the UK store and i myself downloaded it about 2 hours ago, check again. or start rdr and in the first screen after it asks you to press start, press triangle and press square and it'll take you directly to the dlc. I downloaded the dlc from the uk store and my uk a/c detects the installed dlc just fine and has the co-operative missions available to select from free roam. However, my indian a/c also has co-op available now and i even started hosting a game on it. But the thing is the 'Downloadable Content' page from the main menu still says 'No dlc installed'. praveer Posted June 22, 2010 Report Share Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) This is absolutely wrong & misleading,i'v played both the ver. now& a naked eye can not tell any difference Just like GTA4 & the grfx are the same ,even if there is any difference it might be in the sharpness which is like 19/20 which can not be noticed untill u'r playing both side by side & into the TV/monitor Not really....the 360 version is always a lot sharper/crisper etc etc. I'll agree that it won't be as noticeable if you don't compare them side by side. But the QAA & harsher LOD on PS3 definitely f**ks things up....I never quite understood why they used QAA on an already subHD game. This is practically nothing more than blur on top of blur....now had the QAA been doing its job perfectly it wouldn't have raised much issue but apparently the QAA is not applied to all surface leaving a half blurred & half jagged image. So jaggies are even more apparent now, though the 360 version too suffers from aliasing all over the screen...but atleast its the more sharper looking out of the two. Right Posted June 22, 2010 Report Share Posted June 22, 2010 Ank, let me make things easier for you, dude. The PS3 version isn't bad but isn't better compared to 360. So deal is straightforward, either you play the best version OR play it on the console you prefer. If you own just one console then the version differences really don't matter. The draw distance/less sharpness of images/LOD screwup may not be noticeable when game is in motion but there are present, minor they might be, it's just matter of choice that whether you can put up with the differences or not if you own both consoles. Now, if you love to play games on 1900* res on PC, obviously playing a sub-HD game would not suit your taste, adding other minor stuff, game GFX might appear really unimpressive. Console users may not care about these small details but for a typical high-end PC user these can be a deal-breaker while choosing between either of the platforms.
