guys, my 360 past few days has been hanging within 2-3 minutes of booting, it gets to the dashboard fine but any game I load up hangs within a few minutes.. has happened consistently whenever i have used it past 2 days.. signs of coming RRoD ??

Any tips as to how I can actually get the damn red light to get the 360 replaced instead of having it hang ever 2 minutes and tech support tell me "PLEASE WAIT TILL THE 3 RED LIGHTS DISPLAY" :threatenlumber:

if it's within one year they will replace it anyways

i have a modded 360 (ntsc) which started giving trouble a few months back. i got RROD once, but after switching it on again, it worked fine. i then got an extra fan attached to reduce the heating. but still, after some time, games started freezing on it and i got the RROD again. now it refuses to turn on and the RROD is permanent.

I need urgent advice. Can i get it repaired from the grey market & how effective will the repairing be? Will i have to purchase a new console?

Hey timmy.. like i told u in person.. the effectiveness of repairing ur broken xbox is close to nil.. Keep the hard drive and save up for an indian original arcade system..

U might even be able to sell ur broken box in the grey market for around 5000 bucks or something.. i know its pathetic..but its something..

Good luck

P.S hows the new job?

My xbox 360 core RRODed while i was playing FIFA 09. The thing is i used it for only half an hour and there was minor voltage fluctuation in my house. So i tried to eject the DVD while the 360 was flashing its glory but i couldn't.So i switched it off and on again, I was able to enter the NXE. So i decided to remove the dvd and play the demo in my HDD. after 5 mins it again RROds.I am worried. Is it hardware failure or due to power fluctuation? pls help me out guys. The console was bought in Dec 2008.

Don't worry its a power issue if you check the error code it will be 0001

this can also occur if the mosfets on the Xbox360 are dieing
