L33TWiZaRd Posted May 21, 2009 Report Share Posted May 21, 2009 I had my 2nd RROD on my console(no warranty ntsc-j). It's gone for good. Just picked up an original console to replace the dead one. (I'm broke) My console RROD'd after it sat idle for 4 months. Took it out after my exams and couple of days later i'm greeted with the three rings . Same thing happened to a friend of mine too..... After a significant period of non-usage the console RROD'd on him within a couple of days of usage. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? MAK Posted May 28, 2009 Report Share Posted May 28, 2009 well my friend as much as i know you are facing some hardware issue for sure i had faced the samilar issues and after a while it eventually died on me with the RROD although thanks to M$ replacement support i need not worry about all this... Bulovski Posted July 9, 2009 Report Share Posted July 9, 2009 your achievements are linked to your gamertag - so you won't have to replay them again to get them. not really sure about the refurbishing for the elite. if you do get a refurbished one you're good - because they're generally fitted with an extra heat sink and a new dvd drive making them less prone to rrod.
