agreed but its not made clear by the game also, I still see ppl asking on team chat , what is spotting ? or which button for spot? even I got to know about it in beta when some1 was spaming this message "Press Q to spot " .

Also I have seen many recons not spotting  , whereas its their first priority to spot, second to call in a mortar strike and 3rd to shoot.Whenever I play recon I get more spot assists then Kills.

Recons not spotting is just fail because that's their primary role and not running around the battlefield like Rambo.

Also for some reason I just can't get the hang of sniping :P

Hope Milestone stops Selling games, they are sucking real bad in making games happen here in our country

man do you even know how good we have it now? we're talking about delays that last a matter of days... we get games in the same week as worldwide release and for prices ranging from 499-999. a few years ago we would have to wait months for a game to arrive here, if it even came at all (which was rare), and then the prices used to be 1299, 1499, 1999, 2999. and i remember milestone has been around since back then... they were one of the only people distributing games in india. i realize it's very frustrating to wait for a highly anticipated game but come on, in the larger scheme of things we are getting a pretty good deal.

how do we get out of the mortar strike zone ? is there any indication of where the mortars are gonna strike ? And, how do we deploy mortar strikes. I didn't unlock them but I stole them from teammates who had them and I don't think I ever got it to work

You hear the whistling sounds and all hell breaks loose around you. Most effective indicator on Earth.

The reason you can escape sometimes from mortar strikes is because, the splash damage radius from each shell is quite limited.

Xbox 360 Tops BC2 Sales

According to new UK sales charts released this week from

Chart-Track, Xbox 360 has officially accounted for the most of Bad Company 2's sales, making up 53%. The PlayStation 3 was the second biggest, with 31 percent coming on that platform, while the PC contributed 16 percent.

On top of being on top of the sales chart for the week, the game has now officially become the fastest selling game in the UK in 2010 - outselling the original Bad Company title by a ratio of 3:1.

"Battlefield: Bad Company 2 explodes into the All Formats Chart at No1 this week, honouring EA with the accolade of being the fastest selling game of the year so far.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has an excellent performance, outselling the launch week of the original Bad Company by almost 3 to 1. It also records the best ever launch for any game released this early in the year. 53% of sales went to the Xbox 360 version with 31% for PS3 and 16% for PC, topping each individual chart. Last week’s No1 Heavy Rain slips to No4 with sales down 69% and with Aliens Vs Predator (-61%) falling one place to No3, Just Dance (-15%) finds itself back at No2. Sales of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (+28%) speed up in their second week, propelling it from No8 to No5, ahead of Wii Fit Plus (-5%), which drops 2 places to No6. The usual suspects fill the remaining positions in the Top 10 with Modern Warfare 2 (-11%) and Wii Sports Resort (-15%) both down 2 places to No’s 7 and 8 respectively."

i'd like to see american sales charts. if we take the UK sales as a general trend, how is it possible that the pc version has only 16% of the total sales and yet has more people online than the consoles?

Because they are only counting retail sales. And even thats only for UK. Its been sitting at number 1 in Steam charts for almost 3 weeks running now, I am sure that counts for a LOT. Plus Germany is a much bigger market for PC than UK which I think is one of the reason why European numbers are leaning towards PC.

"During peak US hours the Xbox 360 dominates the player numbers. When that post [the one claiming PC numbers were greater] was made it was the Europeans playing and pushed the PC numbers higher," wrote DICE staffer Bazajaytee on the EA forum.

Source.
