kranoke
Hi, I have a 80GB PS3 which I got from US. Now I saw Resistance 2, game in Landmark, Forum Mall in Bangalore. Landmark guy said it wont work on the NTSC based PS3 as these are PAL discs. But after reading on official ps3 forum I have learnt that it will indeed work as games are not region coded (only some BD movies might be). But I also read that the online game (heard that RS2 has a terrific online co-op play ) will be region controlled. can anyone on this forum please validate this? If I buy the Indian version of the game will I not be able to play online? So far I have 4 games, all from US so didn't face this problem. thanks, Kranoke. B3AST KILL4
there no problem with the multiplayer mode.the only problem you might face with a the game is that it throwns and error and the game wont start if ur running it using component cable on a normal SD tv.i faced the same problem with heavenly sword(pal) on my ntsc usa console.the problem was solved by using a hdmi cable to connect my ps3 to an hdtv

Will I have any problem with the av cable on a SD tv for playing the PAL version of R2? Raghav, thanks for conforming this. I will go ahead and buy the PAL version if there I can play using AV cable. cheers.
kranoke
^ i have r2 pal copy and multiplayer works for me... Raghav, I just noticed that you have a 40GB PAL version of PS3. I am asking about the online multi player region lock for running a PAL game on a NTSC console. Are you sure that online play will be allowed if I run PAL disk on a NTSC (US) console? thanks.
